In the local elementary school there seems to be a growing problem with teachers who are unable or unwilling to deal with student reports of bullying. For instance, in one second grade class, a child is sent to the hallway for reporting on another student. If it happens three times, the reporting child is sent to the principle's office. Another teacher instituted a "tattle" box where students can deposit written complaints. She reads these every Friday.
