My Son Watched Star Wars Episode III in His High School Class
self

In my son's multimedia class - during the time for finals - they watched 2 hours of this movie, Star Wars Ep. 3. Teacher claimed to be a friend of George Lucas. He said it wasn't illegal, pirated, or downloaded. The menu on the dvd was not multimedia. Anyhow, what would you do? Nothing? Something? What kind of values are they teaching anyway. Never mind, don't answer the last question. :)

Its not what you know, its who you know.

call the MPAA, there may be a bounty you can collect if he is a bootlegger.

Doesn't sound like a big deal to me, other than the teacher saying he is a friend of George Lucas... unless he actually IS a friend of George Lucas. Chances are he got the film illegally from a source online somewhere and wanted to look big for his students.

I'd roll my eyes and move on.

That, apparently, is the mystery.

Do nothing---it isn't worth it.

"Multimedia" class? As if kids don't know how to watch TV/movies and listen to music already? Shoot!

Of course, my husband and his co-nerds found a "business" excuse to see Ep. 3 on the opening day.

Why in the world are you allowing your son to waste an hour a day of highschool in a 'Multimedia' class?

Is there no real subject offered that he hasn't taken?

Actually the class is very interesting. He learned to film himself in front of a blue screen and edit himself into a clip of a popular film. Among other things.

Apollo 13 is depressing. Leave it to Hollywood to make a movie about failure.

Actually the class is very interesting.

Interesting is not the same as useful.

Yeah, but Jim Lovell's light-saber skills were totally lame. ;)

My advanced English class (1983) had a party outside school hours to watch "Apocalypse Now." It was an interesting take on "Heart of Darkness."
