He was spotted at the 21 Club on West 52nd Street in New York, where the block was shut down and only a small group of reporters was allowed to stand outside the restaurant.

Mr. Trump’s administration is being assembled behind the scenes. But like much else in the nation’s capital, little stays secret for long. The list of names being mentioned as possibilities for crucial posts in Mr. Trump’s cabinet is growing by the hour, giving official Washington what it craves most: a never-ending parlor game as speculation grows about who might actually get the nod. A big revelation may come soon, according to Mr. Trump himself, who took to Twitter on Friday morning with some news. “Busy day planned in New York,” the president-elect said. “Will soon be making some very important...

Despite the conciliatory tone struck in President-elect Donald Trump’s victory speech early Wednesday morning, the man who could run his Justice Department left the door wide open to prosecuting Hillary Clinton. Rudy Giuliani, a former federal prosecutor, New York City mayor and a name on Trump's short list for attorney general, said Wednesday on Fox News' “The O’Reilly Factor” that Clinton was a legitimate target to be investigated and disputed that any prosecution would be political “payback.” “There’s one tradition in America, right? Election is over. We forget about it. There is another tradition in America which is ‘equal justice...

The White House refused to rule out Wednesday whether President Obama might grant a pardon to Hillary Clinton to spare her from President-elect Donald Trump prosecuting her after he takes office. White House press secretary Josh Earnest said Mr. Obama is hopeful that Mr. Trump will follow long-standing tradition of not punishing political opponents through the criminal-justice system. He said all clemency actions go through a formal process...

Since 1972, Maine has had the option to divide its Electoral College votes by congressional district. The outright winner of the state gets two electoral vote, and the winner of each congressional district gets one. Despite this, Maine has never actually had to divide its electoral votes and the same candidate has always won both districts--until now. Although Hillary Clinton won Maine outright and won the 1st congressional district, Donald Trump won the more rural 2nd district--and its electoral vote. Trump's win in CD2 is a direct result of the campaign's extensive campaigning over the past two weeks in the...

PHOENIX -- The longtime sheriff of metropolitan Phoenix was formally charged Tuesday with criminal contempt-of-court for ignoring a judge’s order in a racial-profiling case. Prosecutors promised two weeks ago that they would prosecute Sheriff Joe Arpaio. But the misdemeanor count wasn’t officially filed against the 84-year-old lawman until U.S. District Judge Susan Bolton signed it. Arpaio, who is up for re-election Nov. 8 seeking his seventh term, could face up to six months in jail if convicted. A misdemeanor conviction would not bar Arpaio from serving as sheriff. The criminal charges stem from the profiling case that Arpaio lost three...

However, emails have been discovered indicating Bentel actually knew about the server as early as 2009. Furthermore, the Inspector General’s May 2016 report on the Clinton mail server indicated that Bentel told his own employees that her server had been fully approved by...
