Vice President-elect Pence to Take Over Trump Transition Effort
nyt ^ | November 11, 2016 | MICHAEL D. SHEAR, MICHAEL S. SCHMIDT and MAGGIE HABERMANNOV

Mr. Trump’s administration is being assembled behind the scenes. But like much else in the nation’s capital, little stays secret for long.

The list of names being mentioned as possibilities for crucial posts in Mr. Trump’s cabinet is growing by the hour, giving official Washington what it craves most: a never-ending parlor game as speculation grows about who might actually get the nod.

A big revelation may come soon, according to Mr. Trump himself, who took to Twitter on Friday morning with some news. “Busy day planned in New York,” the president-elect said. “Will soon be making some very important decisions on the people who will be running our government.” ...

For now, the vice president-elect, Mike Pence, will play a more prominent role, according to two advisers to Mr. Trump, as will Senator Jeff Sessions of Alabama. Both Mr. Pence and Mr. Sessions have been involved in the transition since it began, but Mr. Christie’s role may now change, according to the advisers.

...

Mr. Giuliani told CNN on Thursday that he might accept an appointment as attorney general, saying that “there’s probably nobody that knows the Justice Department better than me.”

Rudy is the logical and obvious choice. He will be fantastic.

I am proud that Donald Trump is my President, but I wish someone would take his Twitter account away.

Might? I saw him earlier on FOX News and he was chomping at the bit.
Could barely restrain his enthusiasm. He wants Hitlery - bad.

I wonder what opinion Gowdy has on the pardon issue is? I kind of disfavor Giuliani because he believes presidential pardon powers are absolute. That is still to be resolved, imo.

I agree. I knew that Pence was going to play a major role in the Trump administration, and this is a great sign of that.

Interesting that Trump now picks two conservatives, Pence and Sessions and he jettisons the RINO Christie.

I’d like for Guliani to go for the pedo stuff first. It is a web that will pay big dividends for years.

Once two of his aides were convicted over Bridgegate Christie kind of jettisoned himself.

On Wednesday Mark Levin was begging Trump to get Christie off of his transition team. Say what you want about Levin but he’s right about this. Christie is a Rino... and it sounds like Trump is listening to conservatives.

With all the good news that keeps coming out it feels like Christmas.

I love Giuliani. He was a great mayor and Trump[well we] owe him big time. But AG is a lot lot more than chasing down the Hillary-Podesta-Soros ring. A special prosecutor does that with an FBI task force. AG has to run the whole show. He is getting on in years. Is he up to it? If he can do it great. If he can't well, find someone else.

It really is a big job.

Deputy AG to handle special activities would be great.

Sorry to go a little off topic here but can anyone tell me what type of motorcycle Pence rides? Web searches were no help.

I agree. That applies to pretty much every incumbent. I'd be fine if he didn't appoint a single person currently in an elected office. They are likely already damaged by the swamp water and feces.

[I wish someone would take his Twitter account away.]

There is virtue in letting your words be few.

ECCLESIASTES 5:2
Do not be quick with your mouth, do not be hasty in your heart to utter anything before God. God is in heaven and you are on earth, so let your words be few.
