Deepak Bhargava, a former ACORN lobbyist has been hired by President Obama to run a contest promoting Obamacare through videos. Bhargava was the manager in charge of advancing ACORN's legislative agenda until he resigned in 2002. He faces the daunting task of convincing huge numbers of young Americans to purchase health insurance, they will probably never use, instead of paying the $95 dollar tax. Bhargava is currently the executive director of the Washington, D.C.-based Center for Community Change, a left leaning partisan group, which is funded by George Soros. They are especially interested in immigration reform and support open borders....

Harry Alford, the president of the Black Chamber of Commerce, says that he failed to properly vet Obama before he voted for him in 2008. Alford says that his growing disappointment and growing suspicion of President Obama is based on his secretiveness and placing politics over policy. “I didn’t analyze him. I read his book and he’s talking about using cocaine and all the drugs he could find and I kind of brushed through that. That should have caught my eye.”

Allan Brauer, Communications Committee chairman for the Democratic Party of Sacramento County (DPSC) was asked for his resignation just one day after tweeting death wishes to the children of a female Ted Cruz staffer, Amanda Carpenter. Brauer tweeted such remarks as, This is not uncommon among liberal political flacks. One look at the vile remarks made after the deaths of Ronald Reagan and maggie Thatcher are prime examples. What is uncommon is someone paying the price for those remarks. And indeed, his bosses in Sacremento, California, overlooked them until the heat got turned up by his continuing tweets.

Harvard Journal of Law and Public Policy has just released a study of the relative effects of stringent gun laws. They found that a country like Luxenbourg, which bans all guns has a murder rate that is 9 times higher than Germany, where there are 30,000 guns per 100,000 people. They also cited a study by the U.S.National Academy of Sciences, which studied 253 journal articles, 99 books, 43 government publications, and it failed to find one gun control initiative that worked. In fact, in many cases it found that violence is very often lower, where guns are more readily...
  • House immigration bill is Dead

The gang of seven immigration bill in the House is dead, at least for this year. Dem Rep. Luis Gutierrez, a key player on immigration as a member of the gang told Greg Sargeant of the Washington Post, that the bill is stalled and not expected to go anywhere soon. Certainly not this fall and unlikely this winter session. That throws it into an election year, which could effectively kill the bill altogether. Two reasons the bill has failed is that the republican leadership has refused to support any immigration bill and while on August vacation, many republicans heard from...

Illegal immigrants have staged a protest in front of a prominent Chicago hospital, demanding free organ transplants. According to Judicial Watch, all the protesters are from Mexico. This demand is joined by other demands from illegal aliens such as, driver's licenses, discounted college tuition, welfare, and the same civil rights as legal US citizens get. Marchers paraded back and forth in front of the hospital carrying signs with sayings like, “we are also human!” They used bullhorns to lead the chanting of the protesters. In 2007, the cost of a heart transplant was $658,000. The cost of a heart and...

Due to the new regulations and lower reimbursement rates, many healthcare providers are laying off massive amounts of workers to offset the costs of Obamacare. In 2009, Obama visited the Cleveland Clinics and touted that the example they provide would be what Obamacare would provide nationwide. Technically, he's right, just not for the better.

Harry Reid has vowed to continue working on extended background checks for gun owners, but concedes that he doesn't have the votes to pass it. But Vice President Joe Biden claimed that several republicans told him they had changed their mind. Where are they. In the wake of the Washington Naval Yard shootings, many democrats were hopeful to pass new gun legislation.

Fox News reports that the special team of investigators sent to Benghazi to track down suspects in last year's Benghazi attack, are being pulled out Libya for good. Special operators in the area told Fox News that the suspects had been identified months ago and after the reports were vetted by both the State Department and the Dept of Defense, were sent on to the White House, who has refused to pull the trigger on the arrests. One recommended action was delivered to the president on August 7th. The investigators spent months taking video, audio, and photos of the Benghazi...

Republicans revealed the details of their new healthcare bill, to replace Obamacare. It has the backing of nearly 3/4 of the republicans in the House. The bill includes money to the states to shore up their preexisting condition pool. The bill from the Republican Study Committee, would repeal the entire Obamacare bill. It would expand health savings accounts, medical liability reform, and would eliminate the restrictions on buying insurance across state lines. Although the sponsors of the bill plan to vote on it as soon as possible, they concede that it has no chance of passing in the senate.

Mayor Bloomberg of New York has made a claim that 7 children are murdered with a gun every day of the year. (2555) For the purpose of determining children, the numbers are usually ages 1 through 14. But according to Center For Disease Control and Prevention's 2011 National Vital Statistics Report, the number of children murdered between the ages of 1 and 4 are 370 for the country. Murders of children 5 to 14 is 269. And that's all murders, not just gun deaths. Therefore the number of children killed would be less than 1.7 a day.

In what is seen as a major turn around, House Speaker, John Boehner has announced that the House will move to defund Obamacare, while providing funding for the rest of the government, at least on a temporary basis. This will put pressure on Harry Reid and the senate democrats, who have been trying to convince voters that the republicans are trying to shut down the government. This effectively ends the compromise Boehner had made with the democrats to try to sell his fellow republicans on the idea of funding the unpopular program. The bill that's expected to be offered today,...

Piers Morgan, the New York Daily News, and CNN, among a host of others having been playing up the AR-15 angle in an effort to revive their gun banning laws. Reliable sources have reported that Alexis had a shotgun and two pistols. it is believed he brought the shotgun and removed the two pistols from his victims. So far, in 2013, 44 abortion clinics have closed. Due to new state laws and improved inspections, abortion clinics have been forced to close down in record numbers. 42 of those offered surgical abortions, while the other two offered chemical abortions. For Abby Johnson, it takes on a special meaning. When the Planned Parenthood clinic in Bryan, Texas closed, it was the end of a long circle for Johnson, who once ran that abortion clinic before her conscience got the better of her and she left Planned Parenthood for Coalition for Life.
