So far, in 2013, 44 abortion clinics have closed. Due to new state laws and improved inspections, abortion clinics have been forced to close down in record numbers. 42 of those offered surgical abortions, while the other two offered chemical abortions.

For Abby Johnson, it takes on a special meaning. When the Planned Parenthood clinic in Bryan, Texas closed, it was the end of a long circle for Johnson, who once ran that abortion clinic before her conscience got the better of her and she left Planned Parenthood for Coalition for Life.

“Knowing that the former abortion clinic I once ran is now closing is the biggest personal victory of my life. From running that facility, to then advocating for its closure, and now celebrating that dream ... it shows that my life has indeed come full circle.”

These are not just small clinics who had been hanging by a thread either. NOVA Women’s Healthcare in Fairfax, Va., the stae’s largest abortion provider, who was unable to continue operations after the state enacted tougher safety measures. 6633 abortions were performed in that clinic over the last two years.

Abortion supporters have called laws passed by many states to be draconian, Most of the laws passed, just require the same from abortion clinics as they do any other outpatient surgical operation, including admitting rights at a local hospital.

and so I wonder if that is what is behind that new law in California, that makes it legal for a nonprofessional to perform an abortion. Not enough doctors want to?

exactly right. they have no replacements for the dwindling crop of old and dying off butchers and butcheresses now.

obamacare will demand med students and young docs do them as part ofctaking govt money and if they ever hope to get work somewhere as a doctor. this is how they will try to get past it. they are doingso under the guise of the centers that will have births done on one side, and abortions done on the other side, like they’re both legitimate, ho-hum everyday medical procedures.

This is good news. The liberal will point out that Republicans are killing jobs in the abortion industry. I say it’s better than the alternative, the industry killing babies by the thousands.

Thank God.

I must say, I am doing my part.

And now I have a beautiful, bright and wonderful grand daughter.

I look back at the choice that was almost made and I am disgusted and appalled by the fact that it was even an option.
