  • What Is Christian Music?

Therefore, what is Christian music? First, the words must be true to the Bible. Second, the music must not sound like or remind people of the world. Third, the music must honor and glorify our Lord Jesus Christ, who is the Name above every name! Fourth, the musicians must be so dedicated to the Lord that they will do everything possible, including dress and music style, not to attract attention to themselves or the world but to magnify our Lord Jesus! Amen!

    Yes Sir!
And them are the rules to please God.....

Listen, it is one thing to make a culture uncomfortable by introducing something to them that they do not enjoy or understand culturally. So don't and respect their wishes!
But to condemn Christian Rock because they do not wish to associate themselves with our cultural influences is legalistic, limited, blind, ignorant of scripture, deserving of the condemnation they dish out.

The great thing about Christ is He does not convert every new Christian into a quiet, pew sitting, soft spoken 3 piece suit zombie. He transformes the culture or brings Himself to the culture showing and growing His love in the individual so they can further spreading His love through that culture.

The big difference between Judaism or Islam and Christianity, is Christianity can adapt because the rule book is now written in the heart of the individual rather than on tablets, which is where, it seems, this author would like to put his 11th through 100....th commandment!!

Hmmm, Native Americans can live on reservations and not follow all the American laws, but they can be a voice in our lawmaking?
    Anyone else find this stupid?

Montini, aka Paul 6, on the right (only in the photo LOL) with the six protestant ministers who helped Bugnini et al create the "Novus Ordo Missae", the other Abomination of Desolation in the Holy Place, as prophesized by Daniel.

What Holy Place? There is only one holy place and it has nothing to do with a building anymore. There CANNOT be another "Abomination of Desolation since Christ because the way into the HOLIEST of ALL has been opened once for all!

Heb 9:1 Then indeed, even the first covenant had ordinances of divine service and the earthly sanctuary. 2 For a tabernacle was prepared: the first part, in which was the lampstand, the table, and the showbread, which is called the sanctuary; 3 and behind the second veil, the part of the tabernacle which is called the Holiest of All, 4 which had the golden censer and the ark of the covenant overlaid on all sides with gold, in which were the golden pot that had the manna, Aaron's rod that budded, and the tablets of the covenant; 5 and above it were the cherubim of glory overshadowing the mercy seat. Of these things we cannot now speak in detail. 6 Now when these things had been thus prepared, the priests always went into the first part of the tabernacle, performing the services. 7 But into the second part the high priest went alone once a year, not without blood, which he offered for himself and for the people's sins committed in ignorance; 8 the Holy Spirit indicating this, that the way into the Holiest of All was not yet made manifest while the first tabernacle was still standing. 9 It was symbolic for the present time in which both gifts and sacrifices are offered which cannot make him who performed the service perfect in regard to the conscience-- 10 concerned only with foods and drinks, various washings, and fleshly ordinances imposed until the time of reformation. 11 But Christ came as High Priest of the good things to come, F36 with the greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with hands, that is, not of this creation.

The 3rd temple is a spiritual one and cannot be desolated anymore.

The only thing that binds all believers is Love. Your unity is false. It is easy to say "whatever the pope says goes." However if you think anyone truly believes all Catholics agree on all points of the faith, you are mistaken. You are united by a misguided notion that the RC church deserves your undying loyalty. Nothing more.

That is because I do not believe in the resurrection of the flesh and I believe ALL prophecy has already been fulfilled. I guess the resurrection of the flesh is the critical point I disagree with. The others I agree with, I just put them in the past.

Nobody calls themselves an adherent of "Replacement Theology".

Because it is really fulfillment theology.
The promises of Abraham were fulfilled in the church through Christ. Both Jew and Gentile are included.

It is not replacement, but fulfillment of the promises through the "SEED." The Bible is crystal clear on this.

Well, if protestant means "not a Catholic" then I am. However if it means something more specific, I probably am not. I do not align with titles other than Christian. Some may call me other things because my beliefs are in line with certain theologies, but I do not like titles as "Pentacostal, Calvinist, Reformed, etc."
I believe my beliefs come from the scripture of the protestant Bible.

If I have to explain the promise of the land has both physical as well as spiritual implications well, lets just say that you have joined the Catholics in ripping out the pages of the Hebrew Scriptures.

    Yea,

I forgot. We can throw away Hebrews which says he was a stranger, had not recieved the promise of his homeland, and oh yea, THE SEED WAS CHRIST!!

Gal 3:16 Now to Abraham and his Seed were the promises made. He does not say, "And to seeds," as of many, but as of one, "And to your Seed," WHO IS CHRIST

Umm, I think it is safe to say Christ does own "the land which thou seest."
He's got the whole world in His hand and providence.

Are you supporting or giving a bad example with that website?

God's roles in the natural state of humanity for male and female have not changed. Before God we are all equal and responsible under salvation, but He has set up a pattern and structure to life, marriage, etc. Even human nature and male-female tendancies naturally play this role out. It is femenism and liberalism that is trying and succeeding at distorting the Godly and natural pattern set up by our creator.
The view may have changed under the new covenant, but families continue and must operate under the same Godly principles as before.

ignorant of the promises made to Abraham regarding the land, admonishing poor Mack for "abortion of Scripture"?

Here is the land promised to Abraham.

Heb 11:8 By faith Abraham, when he was called, obeyed by going out to a place which he was to receive for an inheritance; and he went out, not knowing where he was going. 9 By faith he lived as an alien IN THE LAND OF PROMISE, as in a foreign land, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, fellow heirs of the same promise; 10 for he was looking for the city which has foundations, whose architect and builder is God. ....13 All these died in faith, without receiving the promises, but having seen them and having welcomed them from a distance, and having confessed that they were strangers and exiles on the earth. 14 For those who say such things make it clear that they are seeking a country of their own. 15 And indeed if they had been thinking of that country from which they went out, they would have had opportunity to return. ....

Heb 12:22 But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to myriads of angels, 23 to the general assembly and church of the firstborn who are enrolled in heaven, and to God, the Judge of all, and to the spirits of the righteous made perfect,

If I need to explain this and what the real land of promise to Israel is, you need to read your Bible more.

    God Bless,

Today, we're attacking the Vatican for being too weak, not too strong. Try to keep up.

As if dispensational theology doesn't press the "world is only getting worse, it's God's plan" crap.
Nothing has been more harmful to a Godly society than this atitude.

"Why polish brass on a sinking ship?"
"Because we are to be stewards of what God has given us."
But His plan is to throw it all away anyway. And He won't return until it gets bad, so what is the point of doing anything except Praisin' Jesus, Halelujah!!"
But we cannot neglect our duty as stewards of this earth."
"Man, this earth is not my home, I won't be home until I go to be with Jesus. Glory!"

No matter what a dispensationalist says, this attitude of "the world is getting worse" only self-fulfills it's own prophecy.

Leaving up to 70% of Christians to NOT vote and CAUSE the greatest nation on earth go to hell because they do nothing. To buy end times books and fill their head with escapist fiction which only leads them to despise this great creation God has made, and loves (THIS WORLD [kosmos] for all you anti-earth fanatics).

At least the Catholics care about their world because they have a vision of Christian dominion (though I admit I am glad it has repented of its "by force" attitude for the most part).

There are always more catholics voting. More catholics at abortion clinics protesting. More catholics speaking out against the evils our country seems to support (gay marriage, abortion, etc).

I am not one of them, but our eshatology is one of victory and continued inhabitation on this earth. Causing a greater feeling of responsibility to care about it.
So I at least stand next to them.

    God Bless

    nate4one to missyme; PresbyRev
    Missyme,
    You are asking awesome questions.

First this thread talks of a third temple. Even though the only third temple in scripture was Christ Himself

59 Now the chief priests, the elders, F148 and all the council sought false testimony against Jesus to put Him to death, 60 but found none. Even though many false witnesses came forward, they found none. F149 But at last two false witnesses F150 came forward 61 and said, "This fellow said, 'I am able to destroy the temple of God and to build it in three days.' " 62 And the high priest arose and said to Him, "Do You answer nothing? What is it these men testify against You?" 63 But Jesus kept silent. And the high priest answered and said to Him, "I put You under oath by the living God: Tell us if You are the Christ, the Son of God!" 64 Jesus said to him, "It is as you said. Nevertheless, I say to you, hereafter you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Power, and coming on the clouds of heaven."

It is no coincidence that Christ's second coming was directly related to the destruction of the second temple.

1 Then Jesus went out and departed from the temple, and His disciples came up to show Him the buildings of the temple. 2 And Jesus said to them, "Do you not see all these things? Assuredly, I say to you, not one stone shall be left here upon another, that shall not be thrown down." 3 Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, "Tell us, WHEN will these things be? And WHAT will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?"

They understood this to be the "end of the age" spoken by Danil that is why they linked the destruction of the temple in verse to to the "end of the age" in verse 3.
    Read Daniel:
Dan 12:6...."How long shall the fulfillment of these wonders be?" 7 Then I heard the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand to heaven, and swore by Him who lives forever, that it shall be for a time, times, and half a time; and when the power of the holy people has been completely shattered, all these things shall be finished.

The destruction of the Judaistic system was key in letting Christ be the only Temple left standing so the world would see Him as He is. The One true God.

9:8 the Holy Spirit indicating this, that the way into the Holiest of All was not yet made manifest while the first tabernacle was still standing. 9:9 It was symbolic for the present time in which both gifts and sacrifices are offered which cannot make him who performed the service perfect in regard to the conscience-- 9:10 concerned only with foods and drinks, various washings, and fleshly ordinances imposed until the time of reformation.

Revelation is confusing because the church has made it that way. It is not confusing when the truth shines through.

Christ returned when the temple was destroyed in AD 70. Since then He has been the ONLY and THIRD Temple and will be forever more. One will not be built in the exact spot. If one gets built, it doesn't matter, because the "Law" was put down by it's fulfiller...CHRIST!

    God Bless

You mean the ones who voluntarily left, in hopes of seizing the property of their Jewish neighbors after the Arab armies drove the Jews into the sea? Those people?

    You are being pathetically naive!
And we simply moved in peaceful with the Indians. But the land they were giving us poor white folk fleeing the oppression of Britian, France and Spain was actually being stolen, or attempted to be stolen back by the indians and that is why we simply fought them for what they initially gave us and happened to win.
    Oh righteous us!

Your race and religion blinds you. I cannot believe actual thinking adults believed that 800,000 jews just walked into empty lands and empty homes peacfully. How about the Arabs "voluntarily" lefty because they were backed by Britian and the UN, who had just won a world war, and the decimated Palestinians had no resources to defend themselves AND homes??!!

So they tried to avoid conflict, moved out "voluntarily" until they could get the resources necessary to fight a war for THEIR HOMELAND later on.
But the money of Britian and the US was too much for a people impoverished and deprived by their own belief system.

Either way, Israel is no princess.

Nor does she have a mandate.

A great deal of the land was purchased from absentee Arab landowners when the territory was under Ottoman rule.

Again, so your position is they moved into much uninhabited land and peacefully settled down into empty homes and apartments, etc. Because they bought it from landowners who didn't live there anyway.

What happened to the people whos families lived there for generations and were moved to the West Bank?

    Mack
I find your dispensationalist abortion of scripture that causes you to defend them so blindly as equally idiotic. Naive even.
