Democrats who hate right-to-work laws in states that have them deride said laws as “right to work for less.” You dumbasses! Why would you not join the union when it’s going to get you more money and protect you from getting fired if you operate machinery drunk and stoned? You don’t know what’s good for you! But shockingly to the unions and their political protectors, some people prefer not to become part of the collective. And their judgment tends to be vindicated when we see how the overlords of the collective behave when this happens. You don’t want to join...

Blacks and Hispanics are more worried than whites about contracting the Ebola virus, according to a new Pew Research survey. The poll, conducted Oct. 2-5, found that "nearly half of blacks (47%) and 39% of Hispanics say they are very or somewhat worried about being exposed to the Ebola virus," while "just 27% of whites are worried" about contracting Ebola. In addition, "women (37%) are somewhat more concerned than men (27%) that they or someone in their family will be exposed to Ebola," and those with with lower levels of education are more worried about getting Ebola than college graduates....

The Department of Justice has stepped in to free a man from detention by immigration authorities, telling a federal judge that the DOJ needs the man's help with an investigation. The crime Edgar Arzate may have witnessed: his own savage beating at the hands of Santa Ana, California, police officers in June. Arzate had been facing multiple felony charges and was detained for six weeks by immigration authorities. Now the state of California has dismissed all but one charge against him and his deportation proceedings have been put on hold -- an almost complete reversal that was set in motion...

Next time you eat out at a fancy restaurant, don't be surprised if, at the end of your meal, you spot an unfamiliar item on your tab — a surcharge to pay for Obamacare. Diners at high-end restaurants such as Melisse, AOC, and a dozen others in the Los Angeles and San Francisco areas have noticed a 3 percent surcharge for employee healthcare tacked on to their bills, and the Los Angeles Times reports that some of the customers are none too happy about it. One diner complained in an online blog, "It's basically management saying 'Obamacare made me do...

The quintessential question of Watergate was “What did the President know and when did he know it?” Obamagate, the vast scandal that encompasses an entire presidency, offers a preemptive answer. Obama didn’t know anything and he never knew it. At least not until, like smuggling weapons to druglords, bugging journalists, IRSing his political enemies and killing vets, his right hand found out about what his left hand was doing from the morning paper. After skipping 58% of his daily intelligence briefings in Term 1 and 59% of them in Term 2, he went on 60 Minutes and blamed intelligence agencies...

Democrats may not be quite as smart as they think they are. That’s the conclusion of a new Pew Research Center for the People and the Press survey that posed a dozen questions about current events. Republicans emerged as the most informed in the poll. President Obama and his party prefer to think of Republicans as hayseeds who cling bitterly to guns and religion, but it turns out blue-state residents who get their news from National Public Radio aren’t as tuned in to what’s happening in the rest of the world.By a wide margin, Republicans proved more likely to know...

Fox News pundit Bill O'Reilly came down hard on Hollywood’s Ben Affleck for comments he made in defense of Islam on a recent television appearance, saying the actor is living in denial. Mr. O'Reilly made the remarks while discussing the recent trade of barbs between Mr. Affleck and HBO host Bill Maher, when the former called the latter “racist” and “gross” for saying that liberals are closing their eyes to the dangers of radical Islam. Mr. O'Reilly then reminded how children in the Middle East were cheering in the streets in the days that followed the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist...

With close to 4,000 documented cases of Ebola worldwide recorded as of this weekend, according to the CDC, American officials are working to isolate and prevent the disease from spreading in the U.S. Texas Gov. Rick Perry – whose state is currently handling the only confirmed case of Ebola diagnosed in the United States – announced a new task force Monday to handle the current Ebola outbreak and other infectious diseases in the future. Thomas Eric Duncan, a Liberian resident, is receiving treatment for the disease in Dallas. “Today, I issued an executive order creating the Texas task force on...

President Obama is expected to meet with top health and security officials on Monday to consider whether to launch additional screening at U.S. airports for some travelers arriving from Ebola-stricken African nations. Two top U.S. health officials confirmed to Fox News on Monday that they were looking at those options as they try to contain the Ebola virus. "What will be discussed at the White House is the issue of entry screening," Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, said. He explained that the first line of defense right now is for travelers to...

The first diagnosed case of Ebola in the United States, and the revelation that dozens of others in Texas are now being monitored, is a potential health crisis that gives Republican Gov. Rick Perry another real-time leadership test and a chance to look presidential - or ineffective - on a national stage. The once and possibly future White House candidate has seized on similar opportunities before. He deployed 1,000 National Guard troops to the Texas-Mexico border this summer after assailing what he called the Obama administration's inaction amid a surge of unaccompanied immigrant children pouring into U.S. territory. Perry also...
  • Andrew Klavan: Eric Holder: Federal Dick

I’m Andrew Klavan and this is the Revolting Truth. America’s chief law officer has decided to step down and so it’s time to take a farewell look at the career of… “Eric Holder, Federal Dick!” In 2008, Eric Holder Federal Dick became the first black Attorney General of the United States. But that’s all right – there are plenty of decent, honest African Americans too. There’s one who lives right down the road from me. Seems like a great guy. So you can’t blame all of them for one man. Shortly after taking office, Eric Holder Federal Dick declared that...

Jared Goff threw for 527 yards and five touchdowns as California held on to beat Washington State 60-59 on Saturday in a game in which WSU quarterback Connor Halliday broke the NCAA passing record. Washington State kicker Quentin Breshears attempted a 19-yard field goal with 19 seconds remaining and was wide right, preserving the win for California (4-1, 2-1 Pac-12), which is enjoying its best start since 2008. Halliday threw for 734 yards and six touchdowns for Washington State (2-4, 1-2). Washington State has the nation's No. 1 passing attack, while Cal's is No. 8, and the teams did not...
  • AP Poll: Americans Lose Confidence in Goverment's Ability to Protect Under Obama

Americans lack confidence in the government's ability to protect their personal safety and economic security, a sign that their widespread unease about the state of the nation extends far beyond politics, according to the latest Associated Press-GfK poll. With Election Day about a month away, more than half those in the survey said Washington can do little to effectively lessen threats such as climate change, mass shootings, racial tensions, economic uncertainty and an unstable job market. "I think what we've got going on here in America is the perfect storm of not good things," said Joe Teasdale, 59, who lives...

As many as 30 million Americans could lose their employer-sponsored healthcare at the end of the year because those plans will not meet the requirements of Obamacare, health policy expert Betsy McCaughey said on Saturday. "Most people still get their health insurance through an employer," McCaughey, who also is a Newsmax columnist, told former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee on his Fox News program. "Thirty million people could lose their on-the-job coverage this year and be forced onto one of those exchanges. "The plans that the employers bought in the small-group market are suddenly no longer eligible — and employers are...

While Jack Cashill today focuses on why President Obama cannot be trusted on Ebola, Byron York of the Washington Examiner does a quick accounting of the president’s track record fully supports Cashill’s conclusion. On September 16, the president flew to the Centers for Disease Control in Atlanta to speak to the public on the disease with the reassuring and authoritative logo of the CDC behind his head. (That was also where the Secret Service allowed him to board an elevator and stand inches away from an un-vetted security contractor with loaded gun, who happened to have an arrest record, but...
  • Why Texas should take over the abilities of illegals to gain entrance to our state; Ebola

Much has has been made on why the Federal Government refuses to allow states to plug the border of neighboring countries with that state, with the Feds saying this is "usurping" responsibilities of the Federal govt. But what about Ebola? Should the State of Texas continue to allow its citizens to be adversely impacted, even die, from exposure to Ebola by the neglect of the Federal Govt? Doesn't the State of Texas have a duty to protect us? I believe all illegal immigration that is occurring across Texas borders has the same effect: the harm of Texan citizens. The politicians...

The president is delusional. Or misinformed. He also has a short memory. How else do you explain his statement that the US is better off since he took office, but citizens just aren't feeling it because we haven't spent hundreds of billions more in stimulating the economy. Washington Free Beacon: President Obama firmly believes the United States is better off now than when he took office, even though the American people cannot “feel” it. During an interview with 60 Minutes’ Steve Kroft, Obama said, “the country is definitely better off than when I came into office.” “When I came into...

The U.S. State Department has a hard-hitting Twitter account that posts messages seeking to dissuade people from joining such terrorists groups as the Islamic State (ISIS) and al-Qaida. A post — dated Tuesday, for instance — showed a composite of four dead ISIS fighters killed with text saying that the airstrikes in Syria that killed them were "a major step to getting the job done," the Metro website of the U.K. reports. That tweet on the account — "Think Again Turn Away" — was later deleted, according to Metro. The account is run by the Center for Strategic Counterterrorism Communications...

Wednesday, First Lady Michelle Obama said that American women are suffering under "harmful cultural norms" at a U.N. education event. Mrs. Obama said, "Women here are still woefully underrepresented in our government and the senior ranks of corporations. We still struggle with violence against woman and harmful cultural norms that tell woman how they are expected to look and act
