Racially obsessed USA Today on Friday wrote this headline: “Wisconsin doesn't hide from 'white guys' reputation.” Josh Peter assembled current and former Badger players, former assistant coaches, and “authorities on the African-American experience” to answer: “Why is the Badgers' roster predominantly white?” When the Final Four is played Saturday in Indianapolis, all five starters for Kentucky, Duke and Michigan State will be African American. How can they possibly play the Final Four without the assurance that they can violate the religious freedom of Christian bakers and florists in Indiana? With the Final Four a week away from shining a spotlight on Indianapolis, NCAA President Mark Emmert said Thursday that the governing body for college sports is concerned about an Indiana law that could allow businesses to discriminate against gay people. The law would prohibit state and local laws that “substantially burden” the ability of people — including businesses and associations — to follow their religious beliefs. 274 shares The Sunday Washington Post boosted NBA legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar as a writer for Time magazine and a “new kind of public intellectual.” So what’s a little funny by the time you read through this puff piece is this: Where are the actual quotes from his political and religious commentary? There aren’t any. Post reporter Geoff Edgers wrote under the headline “Showtime for a mover and a Laker.” One reason they're so positive? Abdul-Jabbar is arguing that you can't blame Islam for radical Islamist terrorism, that ISIS is to Muslims what the KKK is to Christians. Lance Armstrong has been ordered to pay $10 million (£6.5m) to SCA Promotions, the Dallas-based company that paid him around $12m in bonuses during his career. The dispute with SCA dates back to 2005 when the firm withheld bonuses due to concerns that the Texan had cheated. SCA eventually reached an out-of-court settlement with Armstrong, paying him $9.5m plus $2.5m in costs. After ÂArmstrongÂ’s cheating was exposed, SCA sued to get its money back. Hold on…do you mean you can't succeed at the quarterback position in the NFL by just upchucking lobs into the middle of the field like you're at the county fair trying to throw rings around milk bottles? Are you telling me that what you could do at Texas A&M, you can't do in the pros? That everyone is faster than you? More athletic? You mean if you don't study hard all the time in a league with so many intelligent men who bust their ass in the classroom, you might fail?
