On February 27 Breitbart News reported Representative Carolyn B. Maloney (D-NY) and Senator Ed Markey (D-MA) were asking Obama for "$10 million" in funding so that gun violence research could start moving forward. But a report the Crime Prevention Research Center (CPRC)--released February 26--shows that gun violence research has been booming apart from and without federal funding. In other words, it is inaccurate to claim that research will flounder or never start unless tax-payer monies are used to fund it.

In so doing, only a few of them have been honest enough to admit that "expanded background checks" would not have stopped Sandy Hook from happening and even less--that is, zero--have admitted the actual dangers "expanded background checks" pose to law-abiding citizens.

The District of Columbia has finished presenting its case on why Mark Witaschek is a danger to society for possessing a single shotgun shell and muzzleloader sabots in his home. This outrageous legal battle shows how far unelected, anti-gun liberals will go to attempt to destroy a man’s life. When Attorney General Irvin Nathan’s prosecutors rested on Tuesday, they established simply that Mr. Witaschek did not have a registered gun in the city, so he violated the firearms laws by having ammunition.
