Should We Still Keep The Commandments?
If you are skeptical because of past experiences with religion, understand that religion is not the answera relationship with Christ is. There is a clear difference.
Religion says, I have to follow rules. A relationship with Christ says, I want to follow His plan for my life.
Religion says, I have to go to church. A relationship with Christ says, I want to position myself to learn more, worship Him and benefit from fellowship.
Religion offers a set of rituals; a relationship with Jesus offers a guiding light.
Religion is mans attempt to find God; relationship assures us of His presence.
Many lose sight of purpose because they have religion and not a true relationship with Christ. They may know Scripture but they often do not apply it to their lives. As a result, their relationship with God is cold and distant.
A fatal statement, yet so common is, I know what Gods Word says, but
For example: I know that I shouldnt watch certain movies or television programs, but I enjoy then. I know that I shouldnt date her, but shes very attractive. I know that I shouldnt go there, but everyone is doing it. I know what the Bible says, but it doesnt apply now. I know that I need to go to church, pray, and read Gods Word, but Im too busy.

>> “ It was spoken by Moses” <<
The Pharisees’ law was never spoken by Moses.
It was rebuked by Yeshua countless times (every time he encountered it)
.
.
Adam was a part of the Assembly falsely called “The Church” by those incorrectly translating from Greek to other languages.
All of Yeshua’s “sheep” will be resurrected unto life at the Last Trump. This is the first resurrection.
There is no other resurrection unto life to be found in the word. All others will be judged by their deeds. The second death is a threat to these.
.
You should fear for yourself.
You blindly follow a man made religion, born in the 4th century by those clinging to worship of creation, and love of the material world.
Man made “creeds” cannot impart life.
.
He will begin to fulfill the remaining feasts in the very near future (apparently in the fall of 2024 if the coming jubilee comes this fall)
.
.
P.S.
YHVH ‘gathered’ his living assembly in the ark, before the flood.
The first member of that assembly to die for his faith was Abel.
.
Michael Rood maybe?
I don't know nothing about Pharisees law. Sorry about that. Leviticus though shows plainly that God instructed Moses to speak to the people and instruct them the instructions He gave to Moses. Leviticus 1:2. I think Deuteronomy has about the same thing - Moses telling the people what they should be doing. Maybe the Pharisees made up their own law? I have to plead ignorance on Pharisee law.
The Ru'ach fulfilled Shavout (pentacost)
shalom b'SHEM Yah'shua HaMashiach
Ok, still the “end stuff” left to do, however walking the Earth after “born” of woman until the Crucifixion, He upheld the law in Spirit and context under the eyes of God. Only “Man” to do that in all of human history.
Sorry, ping to post 249, my point was from the human ethical/moral example of how we should live.
A clear reading of the Word understanding Reading as a study bible, the NASB will illuminate Use caution with groups called "Hebrew Roots:" & "Two Sticks"
shalom b'SHEM Yah'shua HaMashiach
First Century customs of Torah observant Jews
will bring a clearer understanding of the Word.
the Word where verses directly from the Tanach
are written in ALL UPPERCASE when found in the NT.
.
The Ru’ach is the spirit of Yeshua.
Anyway there are 4 events of the “end times” remaining for Messiach to fulfill, but even then Torah remains as the sole basis of righteousness for man.
.
Well, it ain't my 'sole basis of righteousness". Mine lies in the blood of Jesus. In fact I ain't got no righteousness in me. I was born a sinner. Sinning is what I naturally do. It is only through the grace of God and the Holy Spirit in me that I have ANY chance of going to heaven. My righteousness is nothing. Only my faith in Him.
I don’t reject the commandments. I reject the idea that Christians are bound by them as a code today. I believe if we are subject to that law we are responsible for the whole law. My contention is that we are under a higher law, the law of Christ. That said, nine of the ten were reiterated in the New Testament, so we are certainly subject to those commands. The only practical point of disagreement concerns the 4th Commandment, i.e. the Sabbath.
“Therefore let no one pass judgment on you in questions of food and drink, or with regard to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath.” —Colossians 2:16
LOL
Amen Amen Amen!!!
.
IOW, the only man not needing an act of “grace” to continuously maintain Torah compliance.
.
Let no man but the body of Yeshua judge you in questions of food and drink, or with regard to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath. Colossians 2:16
And the body of Yeshua will definitely be cheering Yeshua’s judgement that he passes on you at the great white throne.
.
Sorry pal, but the blood of Yeshua is only good once.
As Paul said, you tried to hang Yeshua back up on the cross when you rejected Torah.
When you turned back, there is no remission of sin left.
