Well since you see so clearly concerning the historical cause-and-effect of God's wrath on Israel because of their failure to be Christians (excluding, of course, the fairly significant blessing and act of approval the Jews received from God with the re-formation of Israel itself in 1947, their winning numerous wars of survival, and their development of their country into a technologically advanced first-world nation literally in the middle of third-world hellholes that want them dead),

So you're arguing that the destruction of Jerusalem and the holy temple-- on the exact anniversary of its last destruction-- something Josephus described was preceded by signs in the heaven and in the Earth, a comet in the sky in the form of a sword, the temple doors opening of their own accord and a voice crying out "Let us depart hence," etc etc., happened outside of the will and judgment of God? Without warning? Without reason? Without hope or explanation provided?

And as for today: God could restore your entire country all at once. Return your temple, your priesthood, give you a mighty prophet, and eradicate all your enemies so that they stop exploding in your schools or shooting rockets at your hospitals. Instead you share it with enemies, and most of your people either remain unconverted or practice superstitious forms of religion. You still are in silence and don't know what exactly is the truth.

Given your brief posting history, did you mean for this to be a "Jewish Caucus" thread? That way it would be a "Jewish Only" discussion. Aside from that, Jesus was calling attention to the Psalms and the prophecy about Himself in Psalm 22 when He cried out "My God, My God, why have You forsaken me..."

Toward the end of that Psalm, the resurrection and the ingathering is foretold: 24 For he has not despised or disdained the suffering of the afflicted one; he has not hidden his face from him but has listened to his cry for help. 25 From you comes the theme of my praise in the great assembly; before those who fear you will I fulfill my vows. 26 The poor will eat and be satisfied; they who seek the LORD will praise him-- may your hearts live forever! 27 All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the LORD, and all the families of the nations will bow down before him, 28 for dominion belongs to the LORD and he rules over the nations. 29 All the rich of the earth will feast and worship; all who go down to the dust will kneel before him-- those who cannot keep themselves alive. 30 Posterity will serve him; future generations will be told about the Lord. 31 They will proclaim his righteousness to a people yet unborn-- for he has done it.

“Jews were looking for the conquering Messiah to free them from Roman domination, not the suffering Messiah Yeshua.”

They wanted a king, on a throne, full of power, with a sword in his fist.

God gave them what they wanted, not what they needed.
You know how that turned out.

They asked again, and God gave them what they needed, not what they wanted.
Thanks be to God.

Rather than vitriolic name calling do you have anything add to show us perhaps when that last seven years occurred?

My son lived in Jerusalem for 4 yrs. while attending Hebrew Univ. for a masters program. Many Jews are coming to Christ. I met many of them while visiting him. Wonderful, wonderful folks! The truth must be shared but with love of course. However, Christ himself had some hard words for the religious leaders of his day. I think the vale is being lifted but there are horrible times ahead - the time of Jacob’s trouble. Only 1/3 will survive. The implication is that this time of persecution will soften some hearts and make them ready to receive Him. The scriptures say that it is God that is bringing the Jews back to Israel to refine them. Of course, there’s persecution coming for all who hold to their faith in Christ and seek to live Godly lives. The immediate future does not look bright but there is definitely a better day coming when the natural branches will be grafted back in and the time of the Gentiles will be over. My son, now with 4 kids, is trying to go back to Israel. He and his wife really have a heart for the Jewish people - they both speak fluent Hebrew - but I have mixed feelings about them going, as you can imagine.

Matt.23:

37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!

38 Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.

39 For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.

I post scripture and oppose the paganism of Catholicism. Is that perhaps upsetting to you?

Yeah, I’ve seen you on religious threads, mocking the Bible, Christianity, etc.

You’re not aware this is a pro-God forum?

All things considered-—including the Godless thing people voted into the White House-—your son and his family may be in the safest place on earth.

God bless them; they’re doing wonderful work.

The Jews did believe Christ was the Messiah. They are now called Christians. The others are just late to the party. They will come in time, think of it as wandering in the desert.

Just the truth.

...most of your people either remain unconverted or practice superstitious forms of religion.

You check who's in the White House lately, or how many Americans voted for him?

You still are in silence and don't know what exactly is the truth.

It would be far better for you to remain silent then to proclaim yourself the exact interpreter of the infinite God. That I should even have to say that shows how far gone you are.

Christianity is only understood by looking at Judaism through the lens of the New Testament.

Starting from the beginning and heeding the instruction of Torah - that the Torah is given to Jews, that God is not a man, to ask priests and teachers, to ask your fathers and not follow teachers your fathers didn’t know, etc, etc - makes it impossible for a Jew to get to Christianity.

Full of joy that some first century Jews believed he is.

Indeed ... without their testimony, eyewitness account, and courageous witness ... we would not be posting here.

Denial that Jesus Christ is the Messiah.

Those who deny Christ are destined for hell and damnation.

Romans 10

“12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.

13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?

15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?”

The Bible is clear: all those who don’t believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior are not saved.

Where do professing Christians feel justified in saying, in effect, well, God can’t send unbelievers to hell. I mean, not really. It sounds so cruel to my little human ears.

Where is that in Scripture ?

Professing Christians should ask themselves if their faith is based on the Bible or something else, or their own imaginations.

God’s justice is perfect. Unbelievers do not get to enjoy the same rewards as believers.

If that was the case - why believe ? Who cares, since using that logic everyone’s going to heaven no matter what they believe.

There are some very fundamental flaws in that kind of logic.

The Bible is NOT human tradition.

It is the Word of God.

It is of divine origin.

All other writings are of human origin.

Religious practices not based on the Bible (the whole counsel of God, both Old and New Testaments) are folly and an outright rejection of God.

Christmas and Easter are two such human-divised traditions.
