And metaphor — that is very much in line with an “ordinary human language” means of interpreting it.

This is a love book... this is not a science book... imagine trying to take apart “Roses are red, violets are blue” with a biology textbook... misses the point entirely.

actually, no, they knew that the BOOKS OF MOSES were written by MOSES

Not in Babylon

so, whoever told you that doesn’t know the Bible, nor do they know history

It DOES matter. We let Deception in Genesis 1, there’s no stopping it. It was days. Love the research done by magazine Acts and Facts.

.
>> “But the pens of the scribes have handled it falsely” <<

.
New-agers are prone to such declarations.

Yes there a few misdirections here and there, but the message still survives.

But, not from a scientific point of view. That is hard for us advanced moderns to swallow.

You have it backwards. It isn’t science that’s the problem here. Its the freaking out when science seems to not match an erroneous take on Genesis. That’s what I see as the problem.

Then it makes us like utterly ignorant. And it makes no sense to even do this attack. It has nothing whatsoever to do with Christ’s message.

New-aging is not the only way it can happen. Don’t pat yourself on the back so hard. You will break your arm.

Well I say toMAYto, you say toMAHto... who’s wrong, well the problem is the disagreement.

.
Those that study the word to understand manage to get by the lumps just fine.

Desire has a lot to do with it.

Indeed I desire to see the love, and it gets me beyond this petty “new age accusation” of pinheads.

I agree - the Bible is the word of God and it does not lie - how does that contradict what I offered?

Because the science has to be Race’s science and not some other form of science.

Again, knowledge (skientia) puffs up... love edifies

then you need to stop believing in fairy tales of you being related to salamanders, I mean, only an insane person would believe they came from an ape or a whale or a lemur

evolution is not science, it is science fiction and a dogmatic evidence Karl Marx used to defend communism as his godless and materialistic utopia

That said nothing about 6 days being lap literal. If one believes the earth is billions of years old, and believes Jesus died for our sins. Then they are going to be with Christ in heaven.
This is a waste of time tilting at a windmill that doesn’t matter. Christianity is not centered on the creation sorry.

I never DID “believe in fairy tails of me being related to salamanders.”

Your drivel is on the level of “Have you stopped beating your wife?”

Moses kept the Sabbath. Jesus kept the Sabbath. The Jews have the recorded Sabbath and it corresponds to my calendar. The seven day week has not been lost. Clay tablets dating back to Moses time confirms the seven day week is true and accurate.

Christianity is not centered on the creation [story].

But lots of people's religion is!

You can go by Darkon (whatever that is) and measure the speed of it but I’ll stick with light being emitted by stars (like our sun).
