What if Genesis is describing creation from its source, with God the Creator located at the center of creation (the big bang) for those first six days? What difference would that make? Einstein has already provided the formula (validated by the WMAP satellite) to figure that out: the universe is expanding at the rate of 10 to the 12th power (one million million). So let’s do the math. 6 million million days divided by 365.25 days per year equals 16.4 million years – well within current scientific estimates of the age of the universe as measured from the earth! So six days measured from the center of the big bang is equal to 16.4 million years as measured from earth. WOW!! Can science really agree with the Biblical six days of creation?
Indeed God created light. He also created stars which emit light. They brighten up the night sky. Praise God for that.
Who cares? Show me anything Jesus said that means I have to be able to answer that, or even care about it. Show me any discussion where Jesus said my take on the Genesis story is important to my salvation.
Don’t give me that trite “not wise” crap.
People ought to actually read the account, without assuming that it reads like a recipe from a cookbook.
This kind of talk is characteristic of people who want to glorify how well they think about God.

The Bible is the Word of God, and it does not lie
The creation account can be accepted as a story that we don’t have enough information to decipher into something corresponding to modern science.
The problem comes when trying to turn it into science.
In the meantime, the personal care that the Creator put into the creation gets utterly missed over the question about who has the best “scientific” view of it.
The bible warns that knowledge (Greek: scientia) puffs up but love edifies.
God did not ask us to figure out our lives with science.
Nope, it doesn’t lie. But it is full of allegory, poetry, and symbolism. This 7 days thing has that written all over it. God gave me a brain, so im sure he does not mind me using it.

He has three types of days on His calendar..
The New Moon Day, which was a holy appointed time in scripture, occurred on pope Gregory goddess Friya Day 2/20..
Today is the 5th day of His 12th month and the 4th Day of His Week.
And when you count like scripture says, even the peaky Muslims will stumble into His 7th Day Sabbath..
And it exposes the world’s seven day system as counterfeit..
And that calendar template is found throughout scripture. It just takes study..
And a willingness to not accept the world’s premises in anything..

The common belief in the Jewish community is that the first 5 books of the Bible were written while the Jewish people were in captivity in Babylon.
They had little to do so they decided to collect stories that had been passed down over the years and write them down.
So technically, the book you are quoting wasn’t even written for you...unless you are Jewish.
Now I DON’T believe that, but if we are going to be literal you have to consider that a possibility.
