Nope, it doesn’t lie. But it is full of allegory, poetry, and symbolism. This 7 days thing has that written all over it. God gave me a brain, so im sure he does not mind me using it.
It is also filled with fact and truth
the problem is when people refuse to believe what it says, and call it allegory so they can continue in sin and unbelief
And metaphor — that is very much in line with an “ordinary human language” means of interpreting it.
This is a love book... this is not a science book... imagine trying to take apart “Roses are red, violets are blue” with a biology textbook... misses the point entirely.
