Not once does Rush quote the actual document. He is too focused on the msm spin.

But amnesty (in today’s “catholic” dioceses) is tongue-speak for “support illegal aliens because they are in my church, and they will be a large number of my future priests.”

Doesn’t matter that the remainder of people here came in legally.

I listened to Rush for a short time today, and when the subject of Pope Francis arose, I turned off the radio. Rush is a very intelligent man, but..

...then the Popes need to be quiet about economic issues and we would not be worrying and commenting, ok?

I’m sorry. When I see attempts at hair-splitting twaddle like this:

“The Marxist ideology is wrong. But I have met many Marxists in my life who are good people, so I don’t feel offended.”

I have to drop the BS flag.

Marxist ideology didn’t result in a pile of corpses 70+ million high. Marxists were the people responsible, not some pile of paper with screeds by some worthless grifter (Marx).

The Pope is trying to split hairs here, but he takes the wrong side of the split. The people who call themselves Marxists are the ones responsible for the pile of corpses in history. IMO, the only good marxist is a dead marxist.

Jesus spoke a LOT on the topic of money and finances. It is appropriate that the Pope follow Christ’s example, and speak about it as well.

I find few Catholics to be open minded about their Church. Why listen to criticism? Why change anything? I mean they're the One True Church and can trace it back to Peter by golly and can't do anything wrong.

I call this one a draw. Rush went too far and religion and economic systems do not mix.

You’re under no obligation to listen to this, or any other Pope. It’s all right to ignore him, unless you’re a Catholic.

The question begs, did they set up a trap to get on EIB and reach us... Clever vehicle for outreach, and to get our attention if you ask me, even if they do or don't believe it...

But I have met many Marxists in my life who are good people, so I don’t feel offended.

This is undoubtedly true. There are certainly many nice people who have been swept up in false, evil ideologies like Marxism... and Nazism and fascism. Can we imagine the reaction if someone had asked Pope Benedict if he minded that a few of his critics called him a Nazi, and he had responded that he had known many Nazis who were good people and was thus not offended?? It would have been hell to pay. That Pope Francis would give this sort of answer, and that it has generated no controversy, speaks volumes of leftist orientations all around.

I’m a Catholic! The Pope is not speaking Ex Cathedra, ok? I certainly don’t have to follow his ideas about economics or nice Marxists.

I'm sorry, but how is not listening to Rush not open-minded? Let me tell you something-I have a sister who is having a series of strokes and is unemployed and facing foreclosure, and a husband who may have a cancerous tumour. We are awaiting news from his most recent tests.

Feel free to bash me, however. It's the Christian thing to do, isn't it?

Oh, and Merry Christmas!

Jesus spoke about greed and the love of money not governmental theft and re-distribution programs which not only increase money envy but also contributes to sloth and foments unwarranted civil unrest. I wouldn't mind the Pope speaking about financial matters if he spoke intelligently about them.

You can do anything that you like. Sorry, I incorrectly concluded that you were a Protestant. Not that there’s anything wrong with that. :)
