Atheism as the new World "Religion" (ZOT!)
Cleantv.com ^ | Cleantv

Hello fellow free republicans! I've been reading more and more online about how Atheists have started a movement to have Atheistic Churches the way doctrinal/theological religions do. Regardless of where you stand it's certainly a thought-provoking movement seeing as Atheism has long been an intellectual perspective of DOUBT in any religion. But I found an interesting video on youtube/cleantv.com about it. It's only 3 minutes so it is well worth your time. So check it out! I'm interested to see what others think about atheistic movements in our culture.

I don’t see it going over well. I’ve been going to church my whole life & if one day I decide everything I believe is false, I’d be sleeping in & lazing around the house on Sunday mornings for the rest of my life.

I once p*ssed off some redneck Unitarians.

They burned a question mark on my lawn.

The original humanist manifesto did not represent secular humanism. Humanism is, originally, a term for a Christian religious ideal that sees religion as for the benefit of mankind, as opposed to nature worship (as was common among pagans) or merely abstract and capricious demands of God (as was the mindset of the less-educated or utilitarian-educated Christians).

Any fool can have doubt. I would say the typical idiot begins in a state of doubt and remains that way from basic laziness and ignorance. While on the other hand, a Christian put the effort in to learn more and has the ability to process information.

GOOD!

Now we can insist the government schools stop establishing it as a State Religion.

Atheists have a point of view to evangelize (as it were).

Agnostics, perhaps less so, perhaps they are willing to “coexist” as the popular motto puts it because after all, as far as their own standards are concerned, one of those religions they can’t believe in might be correct.

A “faith in Christianity” isn’t “formless.” It has a most distinct structure. Or do you mean to speak hypothetically?
