It Turns Out the Deep State is Actually Kind of Awesome
New York Times ^ | March 19, 2024 | Adam Westbrook and Lindsey Crouse

Posted on 03/19/2024 5:23:09 AM PDT by Jim Noble

As America closes in on a major election, mistrust is brewing around the mysterious government entity that’s now denounced in scary-sounding terms — “the deep state” and “the swamp.” What do those words even mean? Who exactly do they describe?

We went on a road trip to find out. As we met the Americans who are being dismissed as public enemies, we discovered that they are … us. They like Taylor Swift. They dance bachata. They go to bed at night watching “Star Trek” reruns. They go to work and do their jobs: saving us from Armageddon.

Sure, our tax dollars pay them, but as you’ll see in the video above, what a return on our investment we get!

When we hear “deep state,” instead of recoiling, we should rally. We should think about the workers otherwise known as our public servants, the everyday superheroes who wake up ready to dedicate their careers and their lives to serving us. These are the Americans we employ. Even though their work is often invisible, it makes our lives better...

But if Donald Trump is re-elected and enacts Schedule F, that could change. He would have the power to eviscerate the so-called deep state and replace our public servants with people who work for him, not us.

In the video above, you’ll meet a few of our hard-working American public servants, and we hope you’ll agree that they’re not scary at all. In fact, they’re kind of awesome.

Consistent with their pro-Soviet propaganda under Walter Duranty, the NY Times updates a Soviet classic propaganda poster "Achievements of Russia under with Communism" into the video age for Americans with their It Turns Out the Deep State is Actually Kind of Awesome video.

1) How do the authors know who constitutes the Deep State, what their activities are, etc.? Are they “members”?
2) How can they make sweeping PR generalizations about a large set of people, 99.9% of whom they have never met or spoken with?
3) If they know so much, could they describe for us such things as annual US foreign policy re: Ukraine, Eastern Europe, and Russia, overt and covert, since 1990? Is it healthy for the public to fund wars while our activities are secret?
4) Why would they assume that unelected bureaucrats working with little or no transparency would be utterly selfless, make no critical mistakes, and act only in the best interest of the US (while there is not even a concensus on what the best interest might be)? Does the DS perform better than the government apparatus we can see, such as the DHS? The authors seem to have zero knowledge regarding the well-known charcteristics of bureaucracies since their origins.
5) What drove publication of this article?
>Directed and paid by elements of the Deep State?
>Make the election about that instead of Biden’s failures?
>Pre-emptive strike, because the Deep State knows Trump will win? Good luck if they think the public will take the side of entrenched bureaucrats making huge salaries.
>Bait DS opponents into making this an issue NOW, so they can be undermined, declared threats to humanity, etc..

The fear is SO great that the public will find out about the TRUTH of the assassination attempt on Jan 6th, that the Deep State mavins have turned into whirling dervishes.

We get tio see hanky panky press conferences from the white Hut Sodomites about what great progress we have made while we can at the same time here the screams o f thousands of young children being repeatedly raped as sex slaves in serviuce to the Drug Cartels .

You can’t make this stiff up.

JOe Biden is a dorty old man who has used every political lever he can to destroy AMerica, AND THEY ARE STILL AT IT.

Iwant then to continue at it, because their own activities are waking up AMerica.

YOU WILL BUT AND ELCTRIC VEHICLE...WE WILL BAN HORSES BECAUSE THEY FART TOO MUCH !

Really? I do not care how loud and hard these sodomites yell this crap out, I know that even the most forgiving Americans are now seeing through this schtick.

The Biden administration is nothing more than a criminal enterprise whose criminality if supposedly justified by some superior ideology? Buahahahahahahha! America can hardly wait to be rid of them ALL.Including most Democrats.

Time to get rid of these assassins.

Look at the ongoing effort to kill internal combustion engine cars for a top example. This will end very poorly for most Americans.

Good catch. LOL
That said, maybe the goons of the Deep State recommenced the headline as a way to reassure readers the ‘deep state’ is a happy place that even teenage girls think of as ‘fun’...

My “last” career was as a public school teacher. I think my colleagues did not appreciate my references to “back when I had a real job”.

It’s a strange system where “producing income” is never to be considered.

I contend that this dichotomy (public vs private sector) contributes/identifies the US vs THEM conflict in today’s good ole US of A

Well, I can’t speak to that, but if they had, the audience is overwhelmingly beholden to the government teat for their livelihood. I know because I used to live in that area for decades. In other words, it’s not hard to find people there who speak glowingly about their employer, the Federal Government. 😋

Nope, not me.

More importantly, when federal employees were allowed to unionize, the concept of “public servant” was promptly replaced with “self servant” and it has only gotten worse.

The writers of this article are delusional.

https://freebeacon.com/media/nyt-writer-urged-activists-to-escalate-protests-targeting-kavanaugh/

Lindsay Crouse, who earned notoriety after disclosing that her ex-boyfriend is dating Lady Gaga in a 2020 op-ed, said in a May 8 tweet that protesters should target the Chevy Chase Club because that way, she said, their cries “will reach not just Kavanaugh but also Justice Roberts—both are members.” She deleted the tweet, but only after it elicited praise from activists who shared the address of the club across the platform.

Anyone who’s familiar with some of the leafy suburbs where top New York Times managers live...Darien,CT...Alpine,NJ...Scarsdale,NY...knows that things *are* just peachy in such towns. Of course they never set foot in middle class/working class suburbs like Yonkers,NY or Norwalk,CT.
