I have to apologize for my generation. I mean theres the appalling affinity for the Democratic Party, the safe spaces, the anti-free speech antics, the triggering, and the fetishistic fixation on victimhood through the patriarchy. A lecture on intersectionality, you say. Id rather chug bleach. So, I guess it wouldnt shock you at all that Millennials arent saving because they think capitalism will be a thing of the past by the time they reach 65. Emily Zanotti of The Daily Wire has more:

Yep, it’s called rationalization.
This article is ridiculous. Retirement is something that the WWII generation and their Boomer offspring will be able to enjoy. For the most part, it didn't exist before and won't exist for the following generations.
I'm an X-er and I don't expect to retire. I'll work until I'm physically no longer able to and then hope one of my four children will take me in.
Millennials aren't saving for retirement? No kidding. They're not buying homes or new cars either, let alone marrying and having kids.
Graduate with worthless degrees and loads of debt. A gift from you chosen school.
At present we have a “mixed economy,” not pure capitalism.
Thanks to the mostly unconstitutional federal government to whom the millennials have acquiesced and surrendered.
Hopefully, there's enough of us who will never accept the loss of our freedom without a fight and, if necessary, blood split and who with the help of the Divine Providence of Almighty God, will win.
The Left is already spilling lots of blood in their quest for totalitarian power. Time for Patriots to take up the fight for freedom.
I changed my mind. Let’s replace them with illegals.
My kids are that generation and my oldest is a Marine, and he loves to buy the best stuff, instead of the more cheaper .
The only thing standing in the way of a Socialist States of America is time.
Hardly one Millenial in 20 that I meet has any firm grasp of American History, the Constitution, or even basic critical thinking skills. The Lamestream Media feeds them stories through their iPhones and they lap them up.
Socialism being voted in is a fate accompli, once enough of us go to that great Tea Party in the sky.
I prefer “free enterprise system”. It’s about way more than markets ;)
That explains why Bernie Sanders attracted so much support from the millennials. He preached Santa Claus socialism with a benevolent government taking money from the rich and sharing it with everybody. The economics ignorant millennials believed this BS and fail to understand that socialism only guarantees shared misery and loss of liberty.
I’ve been thinking about that. One possible solution is to give $1k to every American newborn and put it in the S & P 500. Do not under any circumstances allow them to touch it until age 59. Only one adjustment at age 50 where they can switch to 50-50 stocks/bonds like all advisors suggest. They can watch it grow every day of their childhood and by age 18 they’ll be hooked. So will their parents. It will encourage opening that 2nd account and put pressure on the colleges to offer ‘usable’ degrees.
This argument falls along the left's excuse to why "we need national healthcare" because people just "can't afford it!"
They're out each and every night at the watering holes, restaurants (and expensive ones at that), clothing stores, etc. spending like millionaires!
Now, most order on line but they're still out betting on their "brackets, etc.!!"
We've taught our kids, young people nothing about budgets, etc. telling them "the government will help out with......school loans!"
It's when we run out of "other people's money," that's when the rubber meets the dead end!
Millennials are the biggest pussies this country has ever created.
The ridiculously-monikered “Greatest Generation” voted for every ounce of socialism and government regulation they visualized, retired at 60, lived to be 90, and saddled their grandkids with the bill and now we’re laughing at Millennials because they aren’t saving money.
Decades?
My dear old dad has this to say about "hoping" (aka. "wishing") to get something without working for it:
"Wish in one hand, sh!t in the other, see which one gets full first".
The 29 yr old millennial that works for me makes $80k and cries everyday that he doesn’t get home by 3 in time to play with his friends. This is probably his last week
If by “millennials”, the article means people in their 20s, then this doesn’t surprise me. Even people in their early 30s don’t save. Most start in their late 30s once they own a house and have kids.
