The ridiculously-monikered “Greatest Generation” voted for every ounce of socialism and government regulation they visualized, retired at 60, lived to be 90, and saddled their grandkids with the bill and now we’re laughing at Millennials because they aren’t saving money.
I don’t know about that. To me the âgreatest generationâ were those who existed through the great depression, fought through World War II and are mostly gone at this point. They instilled in their children the idea of hard work and savings. Along came the next one who were coddled by the âboomersâ and subsequent ones who seem to not have reverted to the morays of the Greatest as they have become more ensnared by a “benevolent” government. Sadly everyone today seems mired in the tentacles of the government. In fact to do anything outside what the âgovernmentâ approves finds one in trouble IMO.
