I have to apologize for my generation. I mean there’s the appalling affinity for the Democratic Party, the safe spaces, the anti-free speech antics, the triggering, and the fetishistic fixation on victimhood through the patriarchy. A lecture on intersectionality, you say. I’d rather chug bleach. So, I guess it wouldn’t shock you at all that Millennials aren’t saving because they think capitalism will be a thing of the past by the time they reach 65. Emily Zanotti of The Daily Wire has more:

They better hope it's not dead before they reach 65 or they may not make it to 65. Guess the never heard of Venezuela? East Germany. Soviet Union. Red China. North Korea. The list goes on and on.

Millennials don’t save. It takes all to exist.

They’re partially correct.

I see all the trends in place to turn America into someplace like Brazil or Bolivia.

When the vast majority don’t save, what’s the point of saving, if the government will just take the money from the savers, anyway?

Misleading headline. It says :”In an incredible article on Salon, a full two-thirds of millennials admit that they haven't started a savings account for their golden years. But, perhaps more shocking, a significant group of millennials seem to believe they don't need to, because by the time they're old enough to stop working, America will have become a Socialist Workers paradise which will no longer require them to meet financial obligations.”

They don't say what they mean by ‘significant group’ so it tells us nothing.

The 2/3rds makes sense if they got student loans and need a car and saving for a house.

They are right, but in the self-fulfilling prophecy kind of way. When the last generation of Free-Range Children hits Medicare, America as a free nation will end to the thunderous applause of the Leash-Kids who were Heliocopter-Parented.

"Capitalism" is an evil buzzword used by Socialists as a sort of Bogeyman. They then build the dream that maybe the Bogeyman will go away.

But apart from any "triggering" vocabulary words, the essential reality is this:
The Law of Supply and Demand is not likely to be repealed any time soon.

Well if they’re “not of color”, all those things are basically free right?

Capitalism is on life support right now. The US is more socialist than capitalist at this point.

Regardless of the situation, they will still be left to fend for themselves.

The ignorant young’uns are going to have a rude awekening one day, eh?

I won’t pity them — the internet gives them all the info they need to wake up, but they willfully ignore it. Spitefully, even.

Call it the “Free Market Economy”, better, more descriptive term than the Marxist “Capitalism” term, and brings to light the real problem - the millennials think freedom will be finished by the time they are 65. But I think they are wrong. I think we are going to see a New Birth of Freedom in the coming decades leading up to Christ’s Great Catching Up of his Saints, and THEN it will all come crashing down.

They also don’t trust that social security will be there for them. So neither do they save nor trust...in fact, they really have no realistic approach to the future at all.

They have learned well from their socialist mentors.

Those trends were set in motion by the George H.W. Bush administration.
The illegal alien inundation that is the key to turning the USA into North Mexico was a bipartisan policy of non-enforcement started by GWH Bush.
The next three Presidents after him accelerated the inundation.
We either restore the rule of law or we lose our country.

They may or may not really believe capitalism will be dead by the time they are 65. Who knows?

People of all age brackets come up with all kinds of convenient excuses not to save money. :-)
