Obamacare will not die. There is no implode. There is no collapse.
The funding is in the budget and inflation indexed fully. If this posed some sort of systemic threat to the overall government, well, that’s what the Federal Reserve does. That’s what they did in 2007/8, that’s what they’d do anytime there is a systemic threat. They just Quantitative Ease whatever money is needed and presto, no more collapse or implode.

Well, if you believe the ultimatum Trump issued yesterday, it was today or never. If he was saying he'd walk away as part of some deal-making strategy, it's a terrible bluff. This isn't a real estate deal.
IMO, the problem is the RINOs, but the RINOs that are left, or too many of them, aren't really susceptible to being Cantorized given where their districts are. Rather, their seats are susceptible to getting jacked by the opposition. What a freaking conundrum.

Trump actually played this one well. By going “all in” he ensured that the one guy who could never be blamed if the bill fails is named Donald Trump. This is going to get draped around Ryan’s neck.

Obamacare will become single-payer in about 4 years (under ancient President Hillary), and those tax cuts Trump wants - they are dead. The wall and a return to sane immigration - dead. The government is constructed to o one thing - tax, print money and spend for the benefit of the oligarchs and the immigrant minorities that are their base of support.

Not an option. The public pressure to do something to save it will be enormous. Congress (including Reps) have already approved more than a 100 fixes to Obamacare since its inception. The Reps, the party in control, will be blamed if those fixes are not made.

Yeah right. Forget the 80 million on Medicaid and 45 million on Medicare. The USG is in the health care business big time and it will only increase as our country ages. 10,000 baby boomers are retiring every day and will continue to do so for the next 15 years. By 2030 the population over 65 will double. One in 5 will be over 65.
