You know our readers generally frown on vanities (unless exceptional in quality) so if you feel the urge to post yet another run of the mill vanity, please resist it.

One of the things that drew me to FreeRepublic in the first place, is critical thinking,.. and the fellowship of Conservatives.
There has been very little critical thinking in the media or in modern 'journalism', rather, they have become 5th columninsts,
and have most of their 'news items' handed to them by operatives with an agenda.
Independent thought needs not be provoked by a newspaper article, although the timing so close to an election is inopportune, at worst.
Vanities have value .. and promote independent thought.and

I think that's how many I've posted in my 15 years.

My approach is if a posting doesn't have a link, I usually don't bother viewing it, this one excepted.

That also goes for twitter and youtube links, as well.
