The presidential race has grown a bit tighter in this weeks White House Watch survey.
The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey of Likely U.S. Voters finds Donald Trump with 42% of the vote, while Hillary Clinton earns 40%. Thirteen percent (13%) still like another candidate, and five percent (5%) are undecided. (To see survey question wording, click here.)
This survey was taken Tuesday evening following FBI Director James Comey's announcement that his agency would not seek any indictments of Clinton despite her "extremely careless" handling of classified information while serving as secretary of State. Most voters disagree with Comeys decision.
Trump pulled ahead of Clinton last week 43% to 39%, his highest level of support in Rasmussen Reports matchups with Clinton since last October. Support for Clinton remains below the level of support she received for most of June.
Rasmussen Reports will release new presidential race numbers with Libertarian Gary Johnson in the mix tomorrow morning at 8:30 Eastern.
Trump now earns 73% support among his fellow Republicans and picks up 13% of the Democratic vote. Seventy-nine percent (79%) of Democrats like Clinton, as do 11% of GOP voters. Among voters not affiliated with either major party, Trump holds a 20-point lead, but 33% of these voters like some other candidate or are undecided.

Look at the GOP support at 73%. If and when (likely when) Trump gets this to about 85-87, we are talking landslide.
That part should scare the willies out of the Demonrats.
Personally I think you can add at least 5 points if not more to the baseline of any poll regarding Trump, because Trump is going to attract voters who have been disengaged in many cycles, so they will not be caught in the “likely voter” limitations of classic polling.
Time will tell, but that’s how I see it.
These people can take their “vaunted values,” and shove them up their collective a$$3s! They are the ones who brought us Obola for an additional four years. They have a form of cognitive dissonance that's hard to fathom. The are often the ones who make unholy distinctions between Christian religions. They would prefer to withhold their support for a good, qualified candidate and watch the country sink into what is likely to be an irrecoverable slide into socialism/Marxism. They are actually demonstrably worse than Hillary herself.
“Poll was taken Tuesday evening. No time for the masses to really be exposed to the fallout.”
Indeed. At that point, the media had pretty much just reacted with shock. It was yesterday that the real damage was done, in which nearly ALL media outlets universally scorned Hillary for her lies, her carelessness, and her potential damage to national security.
Yesterday was when the “Tale of Two Press Conferences” Trump ad came out, and quite a bit of the media featured very similar, side-by-side video of Hillary and Comey. Aside from “progressive” propaganda organs like Vox, Slate, Salon, etc., most of the media played it straight on this one.
“Hillary has a core constituency of about 40%: brain-dead people who would still vote for her if she committed murder on live TV.”
Indeed. Last night BOR said there could be video tape of Hillary herself shredding evidence and it wouldn’t move the needle for a big chunk of people.
Big thing that no one is looking at is the vote going to Gary Johnson. That’s where the potential is.
“Itll convey that Trump isnt part of the political establishment”
Yeah. I’m hoping we’ll see a large number of atypical speakers, people like Diamond and Silk, Oz, and assorted victims of Obammunist policies.
<< “I believe any person who willingly votes for Hillary could be in danger of Hell Fire judgement!” >>
Oh, no. Not possible.
Together, the devout RINO and Cruz forces are sure that standing for Butt Hurt gets them a ticket to Heaven, never mind orchestrating a Republican loss that would elect a communist president.
That strains credibility.
I HATE being from a blowout state. Shes up 21 in NY. But i will vote to add to his margin.

Strange is that I never see a Hillary sign or bumper sticker. Bernie Signs and Trump Signs Only.
All the young people or people who “want to be” cool like Bernie. Many saying they will stay home than vote for the Hag.
The conventions and the debates are going to move the numbers - as it ever was.
The presidential race has grown a bit tighter in this weeks White House Watch survey.IOW, Trump's lead has grown.
It could be sickening but i’m trying not to let it be.
It SUCKS. I want my vote to REALLY count.
But we are a republic. And I still want his numbers up there.
NJ has him down 10. Difficult, not impossible.
NY down 21. That’s kind of rough.
“It could be sickening but im trying not to let it be.”
Just hope enough of them come to there senses to elect Trump.
The Dems/RINOS/Media must be suffering from bedwetting, wake up screaming nightmares: Despite EVERYTHING they’ve thrown at Trump, he’s still resonating with REAL Americans....
Here is the trailer for the blockbuster movie Hillarys America, to be in theaters later this month! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r7e6gLht6OQ&feature=youtu.be
