Neil Cavuto, an anchor for Fox News Channel and Fox Business Network, is recovering from open heart surgery.
In a statement, Fox News said that Cavuto had the operation Monday at a New York City hospital and came through with "flying colors."
The journalist was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 1997.
Cavuto has been off the air since May 31. Fox said Tuesday that he's scheduled to return to hosting his trio of shows on the news and business channels later this year.

He talked about it a long time ago——such a great, good, humble man. He is one of the few on Fox News worth watching.

He is one of the really good guys.
He has been missed. Mr. Cavuto, surgery on Monday and 2 days later you will be sitting in your hospital chair eating breakfast. Don’t ogle the nurses, wear two hospital gowns, 1 backwards (censors the private parts) Follow doctor’s orders and we’ll be seeing a new you in record time. A plus, if you needed a heart valve replacement and you choose the tissue over the mechanical.....perfect choice should radical jihad Islams over run the hospital. Look forward to seeing you back on the air soon; not that Charles hasn’t been doing a great job...he is excellent as always. We send you our best and include prayer for your continued speedy recovery.

Thought the same, but Monday was week four MIA. I did some Google searches yesterday and came up empty for his absence. Well now we know, get well Neil.
Me too, 5x in 2000, during the election fiasco. Mine was on an emergency basis, the same day I trudged into the doc’s office. The scariest thing I’ve ever heard was being told I had to have it.
Same, Doc says you’re not leaving the ER we operate immediately -——— that’ll get your attention!

He’s written a couple of books. I read the first one and it was inspiring. In it, he addresses with his fight with MS.

Me too! First one in 1983, second in 2008, three-bangers both times. I thought Neil was looking kind of chubby lately. Give him a quick recovery Lord!
Prayers up for Mr Cavuto. Along with his battles with MS and heart disease, he is also a cancer survivor.

Cavuto had Ann Romney on his show frequently during the last campaign as she has MS as well.
