Motorcycles, history, astronomy, marksmanship, ships and sailing, old steam locomotives, technology, amateur radio (no callsign), cats, vast amounts of reading, and pretty much everything else.
Former US Marine, skydiver, helicopter student pilot, bouncer, trucker, cabbie, salesman (hated that) and an IT professional for about the last fifteen years.
I did a short IT contract in Washington DC, within walking distance of the National Archive. I went in one day on my lunch break, and stood there looking down at the original of the document that one day many years ago I swore to protect and defend against all enemies, foreign and domestic. All these years later, I remember how difficult it was to contain the lump in my throat- I don't think I've ever been moved like that.
I miss my country.
The American Republic will endure until the day Congress discovers that it can bribe the public with the public's money.
