Just a few weeks ago, Cruz was saying that if Trump can't get 50% of NY, he should get out of the race. (oops) Relevant facts:

Cruz was well under 50% in TX, Trump well over 50% in NY.

Trump did respectively well in Cruz's home state. Cruz did so poorly that his vote was statistically near-insignificant.

Cruz said he's the only alternative to Trump. Since pathetic KSick can slam him that badly for the anti-Trump vote, that argument is officially bogus.

NY has a legitimate primary procedure that keeps the voting (as much as possible) to folks who are Republicans and had to sign up many months ago. Thus, it's what the 'pubs in places like CO and WY say they want...party members doing the voting in primaries. Cruz had next to no support when that actually happened.

Teddie and the Cruzers.....GIVE IT UP. We have a chance to change the trajectory of the US. The chance is realistic if Cruz gets out of the race now and allows us ALL rally around Trump!

That video... it looks like Cruz is running for national preacher. Add in all the practiced fake hugs and lack of substance in those commercial outtakes—who really believes that Cruz has a better chance of winning the general election than he does of winning a primary? People who believe that are delusional!

If your wife would want an objective view, have her send a private message on your FR account. (I’m assuming she isn’t a freeper). I’ll explain to her what life is for OH residents living under Governor Kasich.

The 40% of dem primary voters who voted for Sanders could be Trump voters in the general. Besides that, keep in mind the Dem voters were in-place for months, and couldn’t switch to vote for Trump. Some would probably go to Trump in the general, a choice they didn’t have in the primary. Because the Democratic Party in NY is so much larger than Republicans, it could easily be a significant number.

Cruz is almost as shrill as Yoko. Almost.

That YouTube clip was disturbing. It is obvious that there were a lot of outtakes but there is quite frankly an air of phony-baloney throughout it all.

Cruz needs to drop out today, he's mathematically eliminated.

Cruz, loyal GOPe puppet, trying to find that path to the nomination:

Lincoln won on the third ballot.

Yes, many of us see the numerous similarities between 2016 and 1860.

Well, some of us do.

Well, okay, you do.

In other news, Ted did give an inspiring speech (complete with teleprompter - when do the similarities to Obama end?) to a rousing crowd of about 60 people last night in PA.

So a third ballot? Yes, I see your point. It seems very likely.

Nor an insufferable a-hole despised by virtually all who knew him personally.

If through some fluke shenanigans Cruz gets the nomination, he'll make Goldwater's race against LBJ look like a squeaker.

You may be right, but if Trump is the nominee he will go after her in a way that no Republican candidate in recent history has gone after a democrat opponent. No one has gone after the Clintons the way he would, if he's the nominee.

As shown by the total vote last night the Dims have a 2:1 advantage over the GOP in NY. Most of the Communists voting for Sanders will never vote for Trump but they might for Clinton or just stay home. NY will be called for Hillary at 9:00:01 pm just as it always has been for the Dims.

About the only way it would ever be competitive is with a Trump/Saunders ticket...

Hillary needs 95% of the black vote to win. Trump is getting 15% of the black vote. Add in Dem crossovers, and 25% of Hispanics and it’s over.

how many Americans died? Over a half million, I would not use Lincoln winning and stuffing the room with his people as an example.

I have been a Cruz supporter since the outset, but not a rabid fanboy calling everyone names. These are politicians, they’d all run over their own mother to win this. None are worthy of fanaticism.

That said, I am first and foremost dead set against a Hillary or Bernie Administration. As has been customary upon being eliminated from a chance to get a majority, I think Cruz and Kasich should drop out and let the unification of support against Hillary begin. It is the grown up thing to do and would preserve the opportunity for both to run again later. Doing anything else will destroy them, is being purposely divisive, destructive and will likely put Hillary in the White House.

Those of us who have good educations know that Lincoln was not a good President. He murdered hundreds of thousands of Americans over a Tax. Slavery? Look at his words in his inaugural address. He had conceding the slavery issue to the south before they seceded.

One thing should be PERFECTLY CLEAR about Cruz. Even if were to somehow win the nomination, he’d still have to deal with just how much he’s hated in non-conservative parts of the country - he simply has NO CROSSOVER APPEAL and will struggle very hard to get anywhere the 270 EVs needed to win in November. Trump, of course, is just the opposite, as the entire Midwest comes into play for him, and even possibly the Northeast.
