How bad was Cruz’s night? He’s losing to Ben Carson in some places — a guy who hasn’t been in the race in weeks.
Cruz can still win the nomination on the first convention ballot, mind you, but he needs to win about 88.5 percent of the outstanding delegates, bound or unbound, per Daniel Nichanian’s excellent calculations. That's not likely to happen either.
Trump isn’t the only big winner tonight! Congratulations to John Kasich, who will almost certainly end up with his first delegate in more than a month. Can Kasich pull off a come-from-behind victory? No. The end.

Trump will not win New York in the general election. You folks need to quit kidding yourselves. Look at the total primary voting for the two parties.

Did you hear the double speak out of Cruz claiming he has been winning elections in landslides. He is talking about the delegate election process, not the actually voting process. Cruz sounded terrible in that interview with Hannity.
In his piercing, dentist’s-drill voice, Cruz was shouting at Hannity, and reeling off a long list of Trump’s people’s blunders. He can’t understand how he can be beat by STUPID PEOPLE. Doesn’t everybody realize that SMART PEOPLE deserve to be President???
That is how the primary system works.
I certainly hope that Trump gets the needed1237 delegates, so the GOPe cannot stop him at the convention.
Cruz is toast. His ego and the GOPe are keeping him in the race to try to keep Trump from getting to 1237 and winning on the first ballot at the convention.
Cruz is totally delusional, if he thinks the GOPe would let him be the nominee.

Look at the Democratic map.
Hillary underperforms her 2008 win in New York and Sanders beat her in most of the state.
The only thing that saved her was NYC and the upstate cities.
Without that, she very likely would have lost.
I mean for a home state girl her victory over Sanders was underwhelming to say the least.
It is of no concern for Hillary. Only Hillary will be on the ballot in November and in the end all New York Democrats will fall right into line and vote Hillary over Trump.

/It’s probably worse than that. Only 15% of Republicans in NY chose Cruz. That is only 5% of NY voters overall. And Cruz would never get any Reagan Democrats crossing over, where Trump would./
I am a CRUZ fan that will vote for Trump if he gets the nomination of the Republican Party. My wife on the other hand is a Conservative Voter that is not ready to vote for either CRUZ or Trump...she may write in Mickey Mouse for President of the United States! She has great concern for our nation but has not yet found a candidate worthy of her vote.
All they had was the convention!
