Trump will not win New York in the general election. You folks need to quit kidding yourselves. Look at the total primary voting for the two parties.

Look at the Democratic map.

Hillary underperforms her 2008 win in New York and Sanders beat her in most of the state.

The only thing that saved her was NYC and the upstate cities.

Without that, she very likely would have lost.

I mean for a home state girl her victory over Sanders was underwhelming to say the least.

And you think Cruz or another GOPe designated loser would win New York?

What are you smoking?

Won’t be long now before Trump supporters start convincing themselves that California will be in play in November.

Yes, and it doesn't count the Independents and the fact that many Sander voters won't vote for Hillary.

Lets see, perhaps thats because there are only 2 people running in the DEM primaries for some time now versus 16 and still 3 left?

I've already experienced your flawed New York prognostication firsthand ("Don't be surprised if Cruz gets 25% and wins some Congressional districts"), so I have to disagree.

Donald Trump can win New York. Many Democrats and Independents will eschew Hillary and vote Trump. This is what Ronald Reagan did, and of course, Trump is no Ronald Reagan, but Trump is from New York.

Primaries and general elections are apples and oranges, and voter enthusiasm is overwhelmingly with the GOP, thanks to Donald Trump.

For someone who says they'll gladly pull the lever for Donald Trump in the general election if he's the nominee, it sure seems to me like you're consistently selling him short, both demographically and in regards to enthusiasm.

I know you're still holding out for Ted Cruz, but that ship has sailed, and in any event it's not necessary to repeat the nervous spin of the Enemy.

New York is in play for the GOP. I'm not saying it's going to be easy. On the contrary, it will be monumentally difficult. But as I showed with your profound underestimation of Trump's strength in New York (along with your overestimation of Cruz's), your routine dismissal of Donald Trump's strength is really exposing some gaps in your logic.

It's much better to show some faith...

Trump can’t win NY.

If Trump can’t win NY, how will Cruz who with only one citizen parent had a mere 25% of Trump’s total vote? Who’s kidding whom?

He may lose NY in the General but he will make Hillary spend a boat load of cash to ensure NY stays Democrat.

You’re so biased against Trump that if God himself proclaimed him the winner you’d claim otherwise.

Hillary needs 95% of the black vote to win. Trump is getting 15% of the black vote. Add in Dem crossovers, and 25% of Hispanics and it’s over.

xxx facts you're not including in your analysis

Neither Cruz nor Kasich would stand a chance in NY against Hillary.

Hillary is being given delegates she didn’t win with votes. When Sanders is eliminated, many of his disenfranchised supporters are going to support Trump.

I guess this is the new Cruz supporter narrative. Now that Trump’s beaten Cruz, he’s going to lose to Hillary.

Yawn.

While it would be nice, winning NY is not necessary to be President.

However, I still think Trump would take California against Hillary. I spent most of my life there. They LOVE CELEBRITY over their “hand outs”...

California is a much BIGGER PRIZE than NY.

PRESIDENT TRUMP 2017

Look at the total primary voting for the two parties.

Meaningless measure in a closed primary state.
