YOU WON’T BELIEVE THIS! CRUZ SUPPORTERS ATTEMPT COUP AT EAGLE FORUM!

Conservative icon Phyllis Schlafly has been a national leader of the conservative movement since the publication of her best-selling 1964 book, A Choice Not An Echo. She has been a leader of the pro-family movement since 1972 when she led the fight to defeat the Equal Rights Amendment.

Phyllis Schlafly is 91 years-old.

On March 11, 2016 conservative icon Phyllis Schlafly endorsed Donald Trump for President at his St. Louis rally.

But not everyone in her organization, Eagle Forum – or her family – agreed with Phyllis Schlafly’s decision.

Last week Phyllis Schlafly released several board members for disloyalty to the organization. The group was planning to hold rogue board meeting to take over the Eagle Forum.

Today the rogue Cruz supporters attempted a coup.

They held a non-sanctioned meeting and blocked Phyllis Schlafly from their conference call.

This email was sent out Monday afternoon.

St. Louis, Missouri:

“At 2pm today, 6 directors of Eagle Forum met in an improper, unprecedented telephone meeting. I objected to the meeting and at 2:11pm, I was muted from the call. The meeting was invalid under the Bylaws but the attendees purported to pass several motions to wrest control of the organization from me. They are attempting to seize access to our bank accounts, to terminate employees, and to install members of their own Gang of 6 to control the bank accounts and all of Eagle Forum.

“The members of their group are: Eunie Smith of Alabama, Anne Cori of Missouri, Cathie Adams of Texas, Rosina Kovar of Colorado, Shirley Curry of Tennessee, and Carolyn McLarty of Oklahoma.

“This kind of conduct will not stand and I will fight for Eagle Forum and I ask all men and women of good will to join me in this fight.”

This is a developing story—-

Teddy-boy will of course disavow any knowledge of their actions.

Read up on Rafael Cruz’s religious beliefs that raised his son and tell me there aren’t some behaviors here that reflect this fanaticism that is overtaking the will of the people and the legitimacy of the Republic

By definition, if the organization has accounts, board members have authority to access them, based on by laws.

No they don't. There is a treasurer who controls the accounts and makes disbursements only in accordance with resolutions of the board of directors.

The point is...by establishing that it would be o.k. if she had endorsed Sanders we are are establishing that the tactics are o.k.

Maybe the motives are bad. Maybe the target is not worthy of being a target. You may think that Sanders and Trump are completely opposite (I don't). You may think that this was a terrible decision. That is all fine and you have the right to your opinion. But don't try and say that 1.) Cruz is responsible and 2.) It is unethical. Neither are true.

Did you even read my reply? What is the matter with you? Basically I demolished your entire post and then you go straight on in as if I accepted your premise.

The voice of one crying in the wilderness. I hope voters are listening because we are headed right down the same road that was followed last election by many so called contributors here. If anyone needs reminding, the result was BHO for the second time, and for many completely and utterly mystifying.

To be more specific, you treasonous blastards who refuse to vote, or refuse to vote Republican, or refuse to vote for any nominated republican candidate, or refuse to vote for a specific republican nominee, are selling out the country if in this case Hillary or Bernie are allowed to waltz into the White House.

I was simply responding to a post that had nothing to do with the discussion. I did not attempt to insult anyone in this forum. The fact of the matter is that Trump has never extolled the values of the Eagle Forum. He was and still is a supporter of Planned Parenthood which he says does good work. He claims to be a “Great Christian” but also claims he spent his Vietnam days having sex with women and trying to keep from getting VD but has never asked God to forgive him of any sin.

Somehow I don’t think he would be a good representative for the Eagle Forum. I’ve never in my life claimed to be a “Great Christian”. I don’t know any Christian who would make that claim.

LOL

The “Treasurer” is a board member, and acts just as you describe, in accordance with the by laws.

You are repeating what I said.

Without Phyllis Schlafly, there is no Eagle Forum. She made the group.

I am not liking Cruz’ tactics.

The only thing it seems to matter to them is winning. And for what, the sake of winning? They aren’t doing the country or themselves any favors.

Yet in all other areas, Trump bares Christian fruit such as not talking bad of people, no gossip, preaching and showing love to everybody, treating even enemies with respect and kindness, doing charity without recognition, strong protestant work ethic, keeps his word, etc.

But hey, You are backing a Foreign-born Harvard lawyer who lied to Texans about his Canadian citizenship and who it is hes working for. Yes Cruz is baring good Christian fruit with his actions lately.... /sarcasm

Not at all...it’s an honest reaction to someone acting like a condescending @ss. And Phyllis Schlafly doesn’t need anyone’s permission to endorse anyone.

Like you i lack necessary info to make a concrete statement.

If the board members are acting according to their bylaws it’s not a “coup”.

Did you not read the article?

"The meeting was invalid under the Bylaws..."

So, now that you know the members WERE NOT acting according to their bylaws, would you still call it lawful or is it a coup?

Long a Schlafly fan, I was surprised to see her endorse Trump as early in the game as she did, considering that Trump’s past is in fact not representative of an ideal, long-time ‘social’ Conservative.

On the other hand, she was no doubt aware of the NWO and other concerns about Cruz.

She saw the populist movement and prayed about it much, I’m sure — and then spoke her mind.

I will commend her in this: she considered the field and chose what she considered the best candidate—instead of vowing to not vote—or to foolishly vote for the overt opposition.

Members of her board disagreed with their Founder’s endorsement. It may be that the E.F. Bylaws permit this meeting and ouster but it seems unlikely.

Meanwhille, let us take Eagle Forum as a bellwether and warning for Conservatism and America—united we have a chance—divided we cannot stand.

Let not our Bylaws be byegones.
