He proudly claimed his phone bank had made over a million calls.

If I lived in Iowa I would hunt him down and pummel him for that sort of spam.

Bush is the one that needs to give up.

Not yet, he is still spending GOPe money and attacking Rubio!

I know your point and understand it.

Bush, Rubio and other GOPers are engaged in a circular firing squad battle with each other. Let them spend their money/effort taking each other out of the race.

Is this why I heard thousands of grieving screams all at once?

I thought that was a bunch of coyotes.

You don’t “win” Nevada. It’s proportional delegates.

Cruz is... was... the second-most libertarian candidate in the race, after Paul.

"This helps Cruz" was my first thought hearing this. Second thought: Rand dropped out because he wants to stop Trump. Rand and his father have both spoken out against Trump, who is in many ways the anti-libertarian. Anti-free trade, anti-immigration, tough on terror.

It wouldn't surprise me if Paul endorsed Cruz, but even if he doesn't I'm sure he'd prefer Cruz to Trump, and the time to clear a path for Cruz is now, before Trump recovers from Iowa.

I see Cruz a very close 2nd in NH to Trump, maybe even eek out a win with the infusion of Pail and Huckabee supporters.

Cruz is 22 points behind Trump in NH with six days to the primary. Distant second is Cruz's best case scenario there.

Rand Paul is much better off doing his job in the Senate..

That is where he is needed..

His numbers just didn’t add up to a winner..

as for JEB bringing his 90+year old Mother in to fight for him is just about the dumbest thing I’ve heard yet...next they will wheel his dad in...where is George W. at???? just wondering...

What Iowa showed is the polls are irrelevant to what is happening on the ground. Trump has spent a lot of money there on ads, and rallies, and not much else. That's the chink in his armor.

Ted gets out there and walks, talks, presses flesh and connects with people.

If anything, Trump is showing he doesn't have the head for doing the things necessary to win the majority. And yes, you can say those in Iowa that did vote for him did so because of the things he is saying, but that is no guarantee for a win.

I just hope he takes Rube-io with him when he does.

What Iowa showed is the polls are irrelevant to what is happening on the ground.

That's what everyone whose candidate is behind in the polls says. But this close to the primary if you bet on the polls being right you'll win most of the time.

Cruz won't win in NH. He might even come in third.

with Paul and Santorum out Where will the votes go?

Jeb? no of course not.... Rubio will get them if they really vote
.

Rubio could beat Cruz with not much sweat if Rubio gets the votes assumed to be for the pretenders.

3% here and 3% there and pretty soon you are a contender

First post-Iowa poll of New Hampshire has Cruz in second place at 14 and Rubio following closely at 12. Just a tiny bump for Rube and Cruz comes in third. Very bad optics going into SC.
