...some parts of the Midwest with more than a foot of snow and more was on the way Saturday, creating hazardous travel conditions and flight delays.
While winter has not officially begun, the shovels and snowblowers were out from South Dakota and southern Minnesota, to Iowa, Wisconsin and northern Illinois. The National Weather Service said the snow would continue in Illinois and Indiana on Saturday, as well as move into Michigan before heading northeast into Canada late Saturday.

Is Al Gore hosting a global warming conference nearby?
Jet Stream is playing what it does so well.
Where I am in W. Michigan, only the grass has snow on it. And the green is poking through. Thank goodness.
I wouldn’t say buried but we are getting some real snow.
Hah ‘bout that Climate Change!
I am west of Milwaukee about 12 miles from Lake Michigan. Only about 3 inches of snow.
I am in the Colorado Rockies. Very high wind after the Tuesday storm. Over 100 mph. Power was off for the entire county and school cancelled. The low temp here last night was 9F. Goowbull warming for sure.
But Al-Goracle said the ice caps were melting, islands were going to be flooded forever and we were all going to die from the heat. Oh the hugh manatee!
” and northern Illinois.”
My Sister is near Palatine and they got 7” of the white cr@p, but she said Chicago got none. About 15 years ago, we got a heavy snowfall mid November here in the Cleveland Akron area. Then it warmed up so much that I painted my house during the first 10 days of December,,, wearing a tee shirt! So ya never know!
I guess Algore the Enviropimp might as well go into hibernation until spring. His envirobull**** is seasonal.
Northern Indiana, some snow here.
It’s funny how the media play up the storm after it crosses the Mighty Missississippippi River. That storm dumped 19” on us here in Coolerado with nary a mention.
We’re still digging out from “Ajax” and got a few more inches overnight.
My first winter at 6600ft and 35 acres so far so fun!!
I got 1.7miles of private drive and road to plow with my Gator. Both of our SUV have gotten stuck already from straying too far off the edges...we’re learning!!
Also only the latter part of November across most of southern Wisconsin.
Normally the first snow that sticks comes after Thanksgiving, though I have seen it open and the ground not yet frozen on the fifteenth of December. Remember, snow that comes this early is often gone long before winter is over. The ground is still warm enough so that the snow cover and snowbanks melt from the BOTTOM up.
Only when there is enough of a hard freeze to put six to twelve inches of frost in the ground, does the snow last and last until sometime in April
DAMN GLOBAL WARMING! YOU RIGHT WINGERS WILL KILL US!
Darn! We didn’t get any in Minneapolis. ð
Looks fantastic to me.
It’s 80 degrees, bone dry Santa Ana wind conditions (high fire risk) out here in SoCal.
