Yup, if we don't eat em, we sodomize city slickers out here.

we

/wē/

pronoun: we

1. used by a speaker to refer to himself or herself and one or more other people considered together.

Better them than us.

Sorry to sound so callus but I’ve seen enough snow to last me a lifetime, and if I never saw it again, I could die happy.

But, alas, living in NYS, I know that’s not in the cards......

...and greetings and condolences from sunny Florida, lol.

UGGGHHH!! You're a fellow class of '98 and you still rub my nose in the fact I live in this shithole called Illinois where it's cold and snowing, and you don't?

That's just mean. :-)

On the upside: I don't live in God's waiting room! Enjoy your weather. Be down in Florida myself (or someplace else warm) soon enough, ha!

They’re all inside City Hall where they can’t be seen.

I agree with the misnomer “Midwestern”. A better description is North Central USA.

It’s funny how the media play up the storm after it crosses the Mighty Missississippippi River. That storm dumped 19” on us here in Coolerado with nary a mention.

My sister in CO (Arvada) called me today. I said "hey, I hear you got some snow, huh?". She said "yea, just a little... nothing unusual". Then she got mad when I told her it's currently 81 degrees where I am (FL).

I may switch out the plow for a snothrower. We’ll see if we continue to get these large storms.

El Nino winters here are 50/50: rain or snow, maybe we’ll get the latter this year.

We love it so far, just near Elizabeth, CO.

You may want to look for an old 1 ton pick up with a big plow with skids or a tractor that can take a plow (truck will be much warmer though!). Having an old farm truck is pretty handy when you have acreage as is having a tractor. I have an older heavy frame 50hp Kubota and it’s a lifesaver!

That would be a ridiculous amount of road for a snowblower!

Get some heavy tire chains for your biggest SUV and you can yank the Gator out of anything. I pulled mine out of a bog when it was sunk deep with a Jeep and chains.

Harbor Freight sells some cheap tow straps and I yank everything out in the winter with those (also use them to skid trees out of the woods/brush with the tractor). Those straps are essential around here in the winter.

I have never understood just how South Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin and Illinois got to be classified as “midwestern states”, as when you look at a map they actually are in the central US.

Mobile, AL is further west than Chicago :)
