California Republican Carly Fiorina said Friday it is "insulting" for radio host Rush Limbaugh to call a student activist a "slut" and "prostitute" because she is pushing for employers to pay for contraception.
"That language is insulting in my opinion," said Fiorina, who launched an unsuccessful Senate bid against longtime California Democratic Senator Barbara Boxer in 2010, on "CBS This Morning."
"It's incendiary and most of all, it's a distraction. It's a distraction from what are very real and important issues," the former chief executive of Hewlett-Packard said.
At least one advertiser, The Sleep Train, has pulled its advertising from Limbaugh's radio show as a result of his comments.
"We don't condone negative comments directed toward any group. In response, we are currently pulling our ads from Rush with Rush Limbaugh," the mattress retailer said via Twitter.
Limbaugh has come under fire in recent days for comments he made Wednesday about Sandra Fluke, a Georgetown Law School student who had hoped to testify earlier this month in a House oversight committee hearing on the White House contraception rule.
Fluke, a women's health activist who says her friend lost an ovary due to lack of contraceptive care, was turned away from the hearing by Republican leadership, but told her story in a mock congressional hearing later in the month. In her testimony, Fluke largely discussed the high cost of contraception and the important medical benefits it can offer women.

I intensely dis-like Carly on the grounds that she is just another fraud like Boehner and McConnell. So, I agree with everything you said except “lifetime loser”.
I just don’t fault people for climbing into the arena of life, daring to be great and then failing. On the contrare, I admire that.
With respect to Carly though, the fact that she escaped with 100 million while 30,000 were left with crumbs and unable to buy their kids tenny shoes, dooms her candidacy in my opinion.
Kudos to her though for being sharp enough to become the first woman to head one of Americas premier corporations even though, like Obama, she blew it.
She cares nothing for the GOP.
Party loyalty is a foreign concept to her.
It is up to the true GOP to end her campaign.
She needs to be ignored.
And if she will not be ignored,then we need to start emptying the rabbit hole that she thought all her crap disappeared into.
Just like you said...if she somehow got the nomination, Clinton would hang it around her neck.
We should hang it around her neck now and make sure she doesn't get the nomination in the first place.

Sorry to say I have not listened to Rush in some time, but when I was listening he was singing the praises of everyone ...but Ted Cruz.
He started with Walker, shifted to Rubio, then Carson...anybody but Cruz. That’s when I stopped listening.
So,Rush, if you come to FR, I will say without hesitation, go ahead and defend Sneed (Fiorina) after all she deserves your support unlike Cruz who tirelessly defends all things conservative.

Carly sounds worse and worse. She’s definite not what we need now, IMHO. Rush was right in major substance. A bit unpolished, yes, but correct nonetheless

owner of the Sleep Train was a struggling
small business owner. When he made it
big he had no problem crediting Rush with
his success. In fact, he and Rush became
fairly close friends. Rush also put Snapple
on the map early in his New York phase.
