Reading this interview of Sarah Palin by Rush Limbaugh was alarming if you care about the direction of the conservative movement and the Republican party. It’s alarming because Sarah Palin is not living in this century. Example: RUSH: You mean that you don’t even hear it (tax cuts) being discussed on the Republican side or within the administration?GOV. PALIN: Within the administration, and as it is discussed on the Republican side, Republicans need to be bolder about it. Independents need to be bolder about that solution that has got to be considered and plugged in. This is the only solution...

Well, someone is certainly "obsessed." Last night, Ed Schultz on MSNBC's The Ed Show, fell into a trap set by the object of his Genius Envy, Rush Limbaugh. In his Psycho Talk segment, Ed mocked Rush for saying on his radio program last Friday: The media tweak of the day: Hitler put people in jail to lower the unemployment numbers. Another media tweak: that's how Dachau started. Ed either missed the words "media tweak," or was too busy cribbing from the George Soros-funded Media Matters‘ earlier hit piece on the show. Everyone else took his words as a tip-off...

Sarah Palin opines on the economy, NY-23, a third party movement, immigration and her book. Palin says we should cut taxes for job creators. Palin says NY-23 was "encouraging" and "exciting." She says Americans are seeking a conservative, common sense approach to doing things. Palin says she is trying to reach hard-working Americans in her book. Palin also responds to a jab from Vice President Joe Biden. She says we are "dithering" in sending a message to terrorists.

I had an interesting discussion with my wife the other night. We were both curiouis as to why radio talk show people such as Limbaugh, Levin, Hannity, do not promote or talk about Glenn Beck. I went to their various web sites and checked out what they recommend to read. It was interesting. Limbaugh - no Beck books. Levin - no Beck books. Hannity - no Beck books. Coulter - no Beck books. Ingraham - one Beck book. My wife and I came to the conclusion that the reason he is being shunned by the powers that be is due...

"This woman, Governor Palin, clearly is jazzed by policy, particularly environmental policy and energy policy, as well as taxes and so forth. I talked to her about the future of the Republican Party, what she thought about New York-23, how she deals with the character assassination, not just of herself, but of her entire family. It was fascinating" - Rush Limbaugh

Here is video of President Obama in Japan today where he refused to defend the U.S. dropping of Atomic Bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki to end World War II. A Japanese reporter put him on the spot by asking him if he wanted to visit Hiroshima and Nagasaki while in office, and asked him if he thought the dropping of the bombs "was the right decision." Obama said he would find it "meaningful" to visit Hiroshima and Nagasaki, but that he has no immediate travel plans. The reporter tried to ask the "was it right" question again, and instead Obama...

Bush, that hates the U.S. military." Limbaugh said "torture is worse than the actual hijacking and taking down of the Twin Towers, that's worse in these people's perverted, polluted, corrupt minds." Nov. 6 (Bloomberg) -- Eric Cantor, the second-ranking Republican in the U.S. House, said his party needs to be inclusive and criticized some comments by talk-show host Rush Limbaugh as inappropriate. “The Republican Party in its roots is a party of inclusion and we ought to be promoting that and making sure that voices are heard,” Cantor, of Virginia, said in an interview on Bloomberg Television’s “Political Capital with Al Hunt,” airing today.

GOP leaders have been loathe to criticize Rush Limbaugh -- but House Minority Whip Eric Cantor (R-Va.) is taking issue with Limbaugh's claim that President Obama's push for health care was comparable to Hitler's stranglehold on Germany. Cantor, the highest-ranking Jewish Republican elected official in the country, told Bloomberg News that his party needs to be more inclusive to regain power. “The Republican Party in its roots is a party of inclusion and we ought to be promoting that and making sure that voices are heard,” Cantor, of Virginia, said in an interview on Bloomberg Television’s “Political Capital with Al...

Democrats have some thinking to do after Tuesday's elections, but Republicans don't have time to think. They're too busy trying to survive the party's internal purge and avoid being shipped off to political Siberia. Will loyal members inform on others for harboring suspiciously moderate views? Will deviationists face the Enhanced Interrogation Technique of being forced to listen to the wit and wisdom of Glenn Beck, at ear-splitting volume, for days on end? Or worse: When Sarah Palin's memoir, "Going...

Is Bill O'Reilly the new moderate voice of America's right? That would seem to be the case after Bill O' took on Rush Limbaugh, the fire-eating grand poobah of everything right-wing. O'Reilly took exception to Limbaugh's claim that President Obama was trying to deliberately destroy the economy. In an interview with Fox News, Limbaugh said Obama represented the most "radical leadership" in the history of the country, and that the economy was "under siege" by Obama. Limbaugh also said Obama had "not done one thing to revitalize the economy." In response, Bill O' asked the logical question — but one...

had a four-hour dinner once with Rush Limbaugh at the “21” Club in Manhattan, back in the days when I was still writing profiles as a “reporterette,” to use a Limbaugh coinage. He was charming, in a shy, awkward, lonely-guy way. Not a man of the people. He arrived in a chauffeured town car and ordered $70-an-ounce Beluga, Porterhouse and 1990 Corton-Charlemagne. But he was not a Neanderthal, though he did have a cold and blew his nose in his napkin. He talked about Chopin’s Polonaise No. 6, C.S. Lewis and how much he loved the end of the movie...
