We Can't Possibly Deport Millions of Illegals...
8/25/2015 | Self

Posted on 08/25/2015 11:00:14 AM PDT by fruser1

I'm getting pretty tired of this line and I'd like to point out how ridiculous it actually is, by way of analogy.

Ever been on the highway? Ever notice all those folks going over the speed limit? (I'm one of them, by the way.)

Imagine if the govt broadcast "We can't possibly pull over millions of speeders every day!" and, to top it off, make good on not doing it.

I believe you'd be seeing a lot more speeders on the road. Especially if they never see anyone getting pulled over for it.

Since it is actually true that there are not enough resources to pull over everyone, what the govt does instead is:

1) pull over who they can, limited by resources.

2) occasionally broadcast public service announcements such as "We're going to step up enforcement of speeding this holiday weekend..."

But what do they do for illegal immigration is -

1) Broadcast "We Can't Possibly Deport Millions of Illegals..."

How stupid can you be? It's really no wonder folks stream in.

If this was only broadcast on the democrat side of politics, it'd just be another ridiculous leftist argument.

But since the repub majority adds their voice to the choir, it becomes a ridiculous form of government.

Why woulf you compare Obama’s deportation numbers with FDR’s?????

The numbers Obama should be deporting are exponentially higher thay those he does.

Let’s say you are an illegal alien.
You snuck in and are now doing day labor, doing well, and squeezing out $20 K per year. Employers are glad to hire you off the books. No taxes; no Obamacare, no insurance,; no vacation pay.

You’re not wealthy, but you’re better off than you were in Tegucigalpa or Oaxaca. Share a basement with 10 other illegals, send $8 K home every year, have a cell phone.

Then someone in Washington actually starts enforcing the laws that have always been on the books. Now you can’t get hired. Your income goes to zero. You can’t pay the rent. No more welfare handouts; no free medical care. Life sucks.

Do you stay here in the USA where it’s expensive and you can’t make a dime, or do you decide to go home where life sucks, but at least you’re with family and can scrounge out a living, even if not as nice as the one you had up here?

Of course, you go home.

Didn’t require a deportation order, or a roundup by ICE. You just head back.

Now what if the US government under this new leadership, in a fit of compassion, says that it will give you $20,000 and free transportation home (and criminal imprisonment if you sneak back) do you head home.
Damn straight you do.

There - problem solved.
And at $20 K per head (times 11 million is $220 billion, less than the current total cost for illegal aliens) it is cheaper than continuing to maintain the illegal here.

We're not going to deport them. They are going to deport themselves. We are going to make it not worth their while to stay.

Good analogy.

But Trump’s promising legalization for the non-violent types who voluntarily take a vacation in the home country—so that’s a pretty good incentive for illegals to take that vacation.

Take them off of welfare and Colorado will save #2B and most of those will go home. Proper ID checks for employment to stop illegals will send millions packing.

We don’t need to deport them, we as a United Country, need to enforce existing laws and go after people that hire illegals... They will self deport! The Arizona law that did exactly that proved it would work, then Feds overturned the law and went after the one sheriff that was enforcing the law and all the illegals that left were replaced by the new stream Obama has encouraged.

In addition to all of those steps, make it known to all of them that those who try to stay will be rounded up and sent to the border. Their families will be put over the border with only what they can carry. The males will be sentenced to one year hard labor building the border wall and then deported. Anyone caught coming back will have all confiscated and they will be sentenced to two years hard labor building the border wall.

We need an Act of The Will.

With apologies to Frank Herbert:

It is by will alone I set my mind in motion.
It is by the Constitution that thoughts acquire speed,
the streets acquire stains, the stains become a warning.
It is by will alone I set my mind in motion.

Well, laws against, and the apprehension of people who commit murder haven't stopped murder, either. That doesn't mean we don't resist the killing.

Or theft, or any of dozens of other crimes.

How to deport 12 million illegals? One, two, three, a busload at a time. They all add up, but send them far into wherever they are from, and strip them of assets before they go.

If the property of American Citizens can be confiscated because it "might" be involved in or the result of criminal activity (not that I agree with the practice because it seriously lacks so much as probable cause), the presumption can be used against those who are committing a crime by their very presence.

First you encourage self-deportation via e-verify and being cut off from all welfare programs. Many illegals will still have off the books jobs and will be harder to deport. But it can be done.

Forcible deportations start with the criminal element that is illegal aliens.

ANOTHER THING — If Wall Street keeps crashing and we have an economic downturn then a Trump style deportation policy will be lots easier to implement. Due to the job-stealing done by illegal aliens.

We did it in 1954. Why not again now?

Just Google "Operation Wetback" and learn some history.

Yes, that's way too slow, costly and burdensome. Just round them up and throw them out.

$100,000 fine for any one who hires an illegal alien...first offense...$200,000 second offense....$400,000 third offense... get my drift?

Thank you.

I wondered when someone would offer this easy answer.

We don’t have to deport anyone. They will self deport. It worked in Arizona before the black robed thugs ruled SB 1070 unlawful.

And when Cruz or Trump is president, and they bring back these legal and efficient self-deportation policies, then our jobs will return and our economies will recover.

We can’t? I live in Texas, and would gladly volunteer my truck to transport 4 illegals that are cuffed to the border Get us all to volunteer once a month, and we could fix this quick.

That article was not written by the person to whom it is attributed...Tina Griego. Thus, the rest is suspect.
