The EPA’s absurd goal is to get rid of all mining and to supply “necessary” metal needs from recycling.That's their next step. The step after that to convince you recycling is bad is already written and waiting for the right time to be pulled out of a marked drawer.
Does anyone really think Obamacare, for example, wasn't already outlined somewhere just waiting for the right time and the right person?

One of the first stories I read on FR years ago detailed how our natural resources are the collateral for our massive debt. That would explain why our own government has been the single greatest obstacle to using our incredible gifts.
Look at the fines imposed on any and every company involved in drilling in the gulf of Mexico a few years back. One giant redistribution scheme. All power and money to our insatiable government.

Certainly the Obama admenstruation and his EPA wouldn’t harm Americans to further his political goals, gain more government control, reward cronies, and punish political enemies. Not the Obama. He’s the one we’ve been waiting for.
Congress needs to investigate this and if true, shut the agency down (or severely cut funding) and put people in jail for a LONG time (and not just the guys that did it, but bureaucrats!).
The idiot bureaucrats who caused this spill should be fired and the higher ups have their salary docked. However, like the VA scandal those responsible will escape any punishment. I bet some EPA bureaucrats will even get bonuses for their handling of this “crisis” of their own making.
