"So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, [son] of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs. He saith to him again the second time, Simon, [son] of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep. He saith unto him the third time, Simon, [son] of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep." - John 21:15-17 869. "The Church is apostolic. She is built on a lasting foundation: 'the twelve apostles of the Lamb' [Rev 21:14.]. She is indestructible (cf. Mt 16:18). She is upheld infallibly in the truth: Christ governs her through Peter and the other apostles, who are present in their successors, the Pope and the college of bishops." 881. "The Lord made Simon alone, whom he named Peter, the 'rock' of his Church. He gave him the keys of his Church and instituted him shepherd of the whole flock. [Cf. Mt 16:18-19; Jn 21:15-17 .] 'The office of binding and loosing which was given to Peter was also assigned to the college of apostles united to its head.' [LG 22 # 2.] This pastoral office of Peter and the other apostles belongs to the Church's very foundation and is continued by the bishops under the primacy of the Pope."
Catechism of the Catholic Church
He said to them, "When I sent you forth without a money bag or a sack or sandals, were you in need of anything?" "No, nothing," they replied. He said to them, "But now one who has a money bag should take it, and likewise a sack, and one who does not have a sword should sell his cloak and buy one. For I tell you that this scripture must be fulfilled in me, namely, 'He was counted among the wicked'; and indeed what is written about me is coming to fulfillment." Then they said, "Lord, look, there are two swords here." But he replied, "It is enough!" [Lk 22: 35-38]
God is strong and he wants you strong so take everything the master has set out for you, well made weapons of the best materials and put them to use so you will be able to stand up to everything the Devil throws your way. [Ephesians 6: 10-11]

I think were now(Nov,2017) living in the era of the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart and heres why.
In 1886 Pope Leo XIII has a vision of the devil and Jesus having a conversation in which the devil asks Jesus for 75 to 100 years and more influence over mens wills who would serve him. Pope Leo quickly pens the Saint Michael the Archangel prayer that was said after almost every mass for many years up until the 60s. In 1917 Our Lady of Fatima appears and basically says that theres going to be some tough times ahead and if you want to get out of it youre going to need to consecrate Russia to her Immaculate Heart but she says... BUT in the end my Immaculate Heart will Triumph. So fast forward to November 5, 2017 when Stephen Willeford was taking a nap on his easy chair in his bare feet when he partially awakes to what he thinks is tapping on the window, his daughter rushes in and it wakes him the rest of the way and says Dad theyre shooting at the church he gets up from his easy chair, tells tells his daughter to stay there and start loading another magazine and himself grabs a handful of. 223 rounds, a magazine and heads out the door towards the church in his bare feet, where the shootings is, only 40 yards away from his front door, as he loads the magazine with an AR tucked under his arm he must have only loaded a few rounds just before the shooter exits the front door of the church.
Ive loaded an AR and its hard to imagine how fast Stephen, a former NRA instructor, must have had to jam in the partially loaded magazine and pull the charging handle and acquire his target. The shooter is all dressed in black, apparently wearing body armor and is only about 20 yards away when Stephen is forced to engage him, he gets off a few rounds and unknowingly tags him in the side where the body armor is thinnest.
Watching all this transpire from his pickup truck stopped at the intersection is young Johnny Langendorf. After the injured gunman drives off Stephen approaches Johnnys pickup truck in his bare feet and motions that they must pursue the fleeing gunman, Johnny reaches over and unlocks the pickup door and lets Stephen into his vehicle, Stephen not knowing exactly how many rounds he was able to load into the magazine pulls the magazine from the AR revealing only one round left in the mag, with one round in the chamber they ONLY HAVE TWO ROUNDS LEFT. Not knowing what may be in the attackers arsenal they proceeded to pursue the gunman at a high rate of speed. When they catch up to the mass murderer he pulls off the road and stops. Stephen Willeford still in his bare feet cautiously approaches the gunmans vehicle with his AR trained on the driver side door when he hears shouts from behind him drop your weapon, step out of the vehicle thinking the state police may have mistaken him for the gunman he begins to lower his AR down to the ground when he hears more shouts not you.
Stephen could have said yes to the devil so many times when he heard the tapping on the window from his easy chair, he could have thought this is a job for the police, not me, I need to stay here and protect my daughter, I should put some shoes on first but he didnt. If Stephen paused for just a moment to put on his shoes or load up a full magazine the gunman would have driven off before he even got out the door. Instead he took hold of the moment, said no to the devil, rose to the challenge and probably landed the first rounds that stopped the killers deadly rampage. Johnny Langendorf could have just driven away or refused to pursue the killer, go after him with only two rounds, are you crazy? No, good men did not only NOT do nothing but did not even hesitate in doing the right things greatly risking their own personal safety.
That was just the event that opened my eyes to the possibility that we are now in the era of the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart. Certainly over the last hundred years there are countless tales of extraordinary heroism but these were two ordinary men that defied the devils many temptations to indifference.
There are so many more recent such examples that give me great hope and optimism for this sinful world. I believe the fight is not over but good men have been released from the devils shackles and more are joining the battle against evil each day.
With good men back in the fight this mess in His Church will be cleaned up in short order, the mere fact that any of this ugliness has even been revealed is encouraging that what has been done in darkness will be brought into the light and can now be addressed by the laity.
We each need to consider our eternity and how we desire to spend it. I choose life!

Upon my arrival in the United States the religious aspect of the country was the first thing that struck my attention; and the longer I stayed there, the more I perceived the great political consequences resulting from this new state of things.
In France I had almost always seen the spirit of religion and the spirit of freedom marching in opposite directions. But in America I found they were intimately united and that they reigned in common over the same country.
Religion in America...must be regarded as the foremost of the political institutions of that country; for if it does not impart a taste for freedom, it facilitates the use of it. Indeed, it is in this same point of view that the inhabitants of the United States themselves look upon religious belief.
I do not know whether all Americans have a sincere faith in their religion -- for who can search the human heart? But I am certain that they hold it to be indispensable to the maintenance of republican institutions. This opinion is not peculiar to a class of citizens or a party, but it belongs to the whole nation and to every rank of society.
In the United States, the sovereign authority is religious...there is no country in the world where the Christian religion retains a greater influence over the souls of men than in America, and there can be no greater proof of its utility and of its conformity to human nature than that its influence is powerfully felt over the most enlightened and free nation of the earth.
In the United States, the influence of religion is not confined to the manners, but it extends to the intelligence of the people...
Christianity, therefore, reigns without obstacle, by universal consent...
I sought for the key to the greatness and genius of America in her harbors...; in her fertile fields and boundless forests; in her rich mines and vast world commerce; in her public school system and institutions of learning. I sought for it in her democratic Congress and in her matchless Constitution.
Not until I went into the churches of America and heard her pulpits flame with righteousness did I understand the secret of her genius and power.
America is great because America is good, and if America ever ceases to be good, America will cease to be great.
The safeguard of morality is religion, and morality is the best security of law as well as the surest pledge of freedom.
The Americans combine the notions of Christianity and of liberty so intimately in their minds, that it is impossible to make them conceive the one without the other
Christianity is the companion of liberty in all its conflicts -- the cradle of its infancy, and the divine source of its claims.
~ Alexis De Tocqueville
Both oligarch and tyrant mistrust the people, and therefore deprive them of arms. -Aristotle
And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand?... The Organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin's thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt! If...if...We didn't love freedom enough. And even more we had no awareness of the real situation.... We purely and simply deserved everything that happened afterward. -- Aleksandr I. Solzhenitsyn Quotes (Author of One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich)
"I am not among those who fear the people. They...are our dependence for continued freedom. And to preserve their independence, we must not let our rulers load us with perpetual debt. We must make our election between economy and liberty, or profusion and servitude. If we run into such debts, as that we must be taxed in our meat and in our drink, in our necessaries and our comforts, in our labors and our amusements, for our callings and our creeds...our people...must come to labor sixteen hours in the twenty-four, give the earnings of fifteen of these to the government for their debts and daily expenses; and the sixteenth being insufficient to afford us bread, we must live, as they (the British) now do, on oatmeal and potatoes; have no time to think, no means of calling the mismanagers to account; but be glad to obtain subsistence by hiring ourselves to rivet their chains on the necks of our fellow-sufferers....This example reads to us the salutary lesson that private fortunes are destroyed by public, as well as by private extravagance. And this is the tendency of all human governments. A departure from the principle in one instance, becomes a precedent for a second; that second for a third; and so on, till the bulk of society is reduced to be mere automatons of misery, to have no sensibilities left but for sinning and suffering. Then begins, indeed, the 'bellum omnium in omnia,' which some philosophers...have mistaken for the natural, instead of the abusive, state of man. And the fore-horse of this frightful team is public debt. Taxation follows that, and in its train wretchedness and oppression." - Thomas Jefferson
When Jefferson wanted authorization to conduct war against the Barbary Pirates because of their barbaric acts (hint...can you see where the term barbaric comes from?), when speaking about why these people were committing those barbaric acts, he wrote a letter, referring to what one of their leaders at the time said regarding their beliefs with respect to their piracy, enslavement, and behaedings:
...their right was founded on the Laws of the Prophet, that it was written in their Koran, that all nations who should not have answered their authority were sinners, that it was their right and duty to make war upon them wherever they could be found, and to make slaves of all they could take as prisoners, and that every Mussulman who should be slain in battle was sure to go to Paradise. That it was a law that the first who boarded an enemy's vessel should have one slave more than his share with the rest, which operated as an incentive to the most desperate valor and enterprize; that it was the practice of their corsairs to bear down upon a ship, for each sailor to take a dagger in each hand and another in his mouth, and leap on board, which so terrified their enemies that very few ever stood against them; that he verily believed the devil assisted his countrymen, for they were almost always successful.
In the seventh century of the Christian era, a wandering Arab of the lineage of Hagar, the Egyptian, combining the powers of transcendent genius, with the preternatural energy of a fanatic, and the fraudulent spirit of an impostor, proclaimed himself as a messenger from Heaven, and spread desolation and delusion over an extensive portion of the earth. Adopting from the sublime conception of the Mosaic law, the doctrine of one omnipotent God; he connected indissolubly with it, the audacious falsehood, that he was himself his prophet and apostle. Adopting from the new Revelation of Jesus, the faith and hope of immortal life, and of future retribution, he humbled it to the dust, by adapting all the rewards and sanctions of his religion to the gratification of the sexual passion. He poisoned the sources of human felicity at the fountain, by degrading the condition of the female sex, and the allowance of polygamy; and he declared undistinguishing and exterminating war, as a part of his religion, against all the rest of mankind. THE ESSENCE OF HIS DOCTRINE WAS VIOLENCE AND LUST: TO EXALT THE BRUTAL OVER THE SPIRITUAL PART OF HUMAN NATURE.
John Quincy Adam 1767-1848
Men are qualified for civil liberty in exact proportion to their disposition to put moral chains upon their own appetitesin proportion as their love of justice is above their rapacity;in proportion as their soundness and sobriety of understanding is above their vanity and presumption;in proportion as they are more disposed to listen to the counsels of the wise and good, in preference to the flattery of knaves. Society cannot exist, unless a controlling power upon the will and appetite is placed somewhere: and the less of it there is within, the more there must be without. It is ordained in the eternal constitution of things, that men of intemperate minds can not be free. Their passions forge their fetters. Edmund Burke
"If the representatives of the people betray their constituents, there is then no resource left but in the exertion of that original right of self-defense which is paramount to all positive forms of government, and which against the usurpations of the national rulers, may be exerted with infinitely better prospect of success than against those of the rulers of an individual state. In a single state, if the persons intrusted with supreme power become usurpers, the different parcels, subdivisions, or districts of which it consists, having no distinct government in each, can take no regular measures for defense. The citizens must rush tumultuously to arms, without concert, without system, without resource; except in their courage and despair. "
Alexander Hamilton (Federalist #28, excerpt)
Winston Churchill on Islam
"How dreadful are the curses which Mohammedanism lays on its votaries! Besides the fanatical frenzy, which is as dangerous in a man as hydrophobia in a dog, there is this fearful fatalistic apathy. The effects are apparent in many countries. Improvident habits, slovenly systems of agriculture, sluggish methods of commerce, and insecurity of property exist wherever the followers of the Prophet rule or live.
A degraded sensualism deprives this life of its grace and refinement; the next of its dignity and sanctity. The fact that in Mohammedan law every woman must belong to some man as his absolute property, either as a child, a wife, or a concubine, must delay the final extinction of slavery until the faith of Islam has ceased to be a great power among men. Individual Moslems may show splendid qualities - but the influence of the religion paralyses the social development of those who follow it.
No stronger retrograde force exists in the world. Far from being moribund, Mohammedanism is a militant and proselytizing faith. It has already spread throughout Central Africa, raising fearless warriors at every step; and were it not that Christianity is sheltered in the strong arms of science, the science against which it had vainly struggled, the civilisation of modern Europe might fall, as fell the civilisation of ancient Rome."
Winston Churchill (The River War, first edition, Vol. II, pages 248-50 (London: Longmans, Green & Co., 1899)
OK so after working in the IT industry for the last 32 years and since tech just isn't my job but a real passion in my life I have almost always had some sort of keyboard, mouse or handheld device at my fingertips for several hours a day, as a result I have developed more than a few knots in my back. I had tried so many solutions to relieve my upper back and shoulder pain that worked just enough to keep me from going into the doctor, chiro or heaven forbid the hospital.
Well those days are over. My wonderful and inventive wife(Ann) came up with this little device that allows me to work out the kinks while I work out the bugs. It has given me such amazing relief that I immediately began work to make this available to others suffering from that same borderline pain that we always just (egads, to quote a phrase from the beast) POWER THROUGH in silent anguish. A man had two sons,
one of the sons met his
sixfive pals at the bar one evening and
the next day he said to his father,
Dad I cannot be Catholic any longer.
I cannot stay married to the woman I promised
"till death do us part"
I got tired of her
she got fat,
our children are ugly and
I would rather spend my money on myself and
this hot young chic
I've had my eye on for months.
I cannot respect any authority
that would presume to put limits on my behavior and
the ten commandments are just WAY too restrictive.
The precepts go even further and
who has time for Mass on Sundays and
Holy Days of Obligation anyway.
So they stole her husband's corvette and
ran off to Las Vegas.
After spending his entire 401k on
hookers and gambling
his money ran out and
the hot young chick ran off to Rio
with a wealthy textiles tycoon.
While dying in the gutter on Skid Row,
his body convulsing from withdrawal,
he thought to himself
when I was Catholic all of these things
were against the law of God and
he texted his father
"Dad I seriously screwed things up, I'm sorry"
His father got the text message and
instantly geolocated his son and
sent an ambulance to meet the jet at the airport.
When they returned home
the celebration was unmatched by anything in his memory,
his brother however was unimpressed
for he had remained a faithful Catholic,
true to his fat wife and
he always went to Mass on Sundays and HDOs,
dutifully following all of the precepts of the Church.
He never got hooked on drugs or
slept with another woman.
He said to his father
this is UNFAIR!
I just don't get anything out of going to Mass and
following all of these RULES.
His father replied gently,
your missing the whole point of it all but
please just come in and celebrate with us,
for your brother was dead in his sins and
has come back to life.
The Father has infinite Mercy for all of his children.
He watches and calls to us to return to Him
with contrite hearts and to celebrate the conversion of sinners.
He desires we should all be as one
in Love for Him and
all of our brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus.
How I got the the name "7"
Many years ago my sister started dating a man that would later become her husband and she told me of a friend of his named Seven. I thought it was a neat name but didn't think I really owned it so never really adopted it as a nick name. Years later I was thinking up vanity license plates and came up with 'INFOOL7' actually had it on an old(1991) Audi 100 for a while. Another one was 42N81(Fortunate one) for those crypticly challenged or IUU2BL8 nifty ehh, well when I needed a handle I settled on INFOOL7 and then it happened April 22 2018 some FReepers were posting behind my back(without pinging me) and calling me "7" in in this post #304 from MHGinTN for which I am eternally grateful, well that was it and now I own it. (btw: Here is another gem from the same source. Apparently her opinion is that I am "dead in your trespasses and sins and have not been born from above.")
Well where did INFOOL7 come from anyway what does it mean? One of the sayings my dad had was "living in a fools paradise" I was too young to understand what it meant back then but I was certainly doing it. The year I turned 16 I would find out when my Dad and best friend in the whole world suddenly died of an aortic embolism while our family was racing to get home(Older brother being discharged from the Navy) from vacation and still hundreds of miles away in Columbia Missouri.
It means Living In a Fools Heaven
You or I might still be doing it, any day and the rug can come out. Be glad and rejoice each day and Praise God for his Kindness and Mercy, Pray for others that are in the fray and that their suffering is neither long nor in vain.
Now you can take this test any time on my homepage. Be sure to Ping me with your score or just your range. Reminder: I believe this describes HIS Church, it is not MY Church your Church or anyone else's Church it belongs to HIM HE makes the rules whether or not we understand or believe them. There are not a hundred people in America who hate the Catholic Church. There are millions of people who hate what they wrongly believe to be the Catholic Church which is, of course, quite a different thing. - Fulton J. Sheen
Note: Catholics do NOT worship idols!
Statues are merely physical representations of Saints and Martyrs that remind us (as we kneel and pray) of their commitment and sacrifices made spreading the Gospel throughout the ages, encouraging those of this age to emulate their example.
Religious metals and scapulars are only an outward sign of an internal disposition. They have no magical power and only serve as a constant reminder of our own personal commitment to living and spreading the good news, as the apostles did. Any promises or guarantees associated with such are the result of a full life guided by the Holy Spirit, well lived, all for Jesus.
My Mom's favorite prayer
O, Holy Spirit, soul of my soul, I adore you. Enlighten, guide, strengthen and console me. Tell me what I ought to do and command me to do it. I promise to be submissive to everything that you permit to happen to me. Show me only what is your will.
