Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell says there's not much Congress can do in the wake of the ruling by the Supreme Court legalizing gay marriage.

In an interview Tuesday night on Kentucky television station WDRB, McConnell restated that he still holds to the traditional view of marriage.

"I’ve always felt that marriage is between one man and one woman and the Supreme Court has held otherwise. That’s the law of the land," the Kentucky Republican said.

When he was asked if there is anything Congress can do, he answered: "I don’t think so. I think the courts have pretty well spoken."

However, McConnell said he is now concerned about "the potential problems with regard to religious liberty."

Who cares that the fraud praises Mitch and donated 7 figures to liberals and Hillary?
He’s on TV!!!!!

And he hired Perez Hilton as a Miss USA judge who then went on to toss out Carrie Prejean for her very well thought out response to his loaded question on queer "marriage".

Trump is just what conservatives should be fighting against not throwing their support behind.

Good thing Mitch wasn’t around for Korematsu. Japanese-Americans would still be in detention camps.

Oh really? Is it Democrats or Republicans that sent Republican lesser evils to DC after Mitch and Jonbon campaigned on working with Barry? Because the then current ‘truth’ was that the dem was worse?

That’s reality. It happened. I know you don’t want to admit it but any 12 step program will tell you that admitting the problem is a requirement to fix it and not repeat it.

Turkey-necked quitter...

Looks like Nancy Pelosi neutered him.

Trump is just what conservatives should be fighting against not throwing their support behind.

Tell me he doesn't hire illegals to do his lower level work for him. I won't believe you.
No Trump. Can't be trusted.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell says there's not much Congress can do in the wake of the ruling by the Supreme Court legalizing gay marriage.

If that were the case we would still be living with the Dredd Scott decision.

Get a clue and read the Constitution turkey face.

Okay CNN....see post where Trump tweets support of Mitch McConnell - and the idea of crony cash from Washington - and doesn’t know the difference between Speaker of the House and the Senate Majority Leader.

Yeah, a REAL genius and conservative....

How about taking away the jurisdiction of federal courts over any marriage issue on the basis that they are a matter for the states?

But those voters were not so much “lesser of two evils” than just ignorant. Lot of people like their reps to have seniority.....etc.

And FTR, I did not vote for either of them. I supported Mc’s primary opponent. So I didn’t do ANYTHING different from you - the fact is, neither Boehner’s opponent nor Mc’s opponent would oppose same sex marriage...THEY WOULD HAVE CHAMPIONED IT!!!

The next time I get a request from the RNC or GOP for money, I’m going to reply that there’s not much I can do.

Hopefully, a new president will appoint Justices who stand by the words of the Constitution and original intent. Law-making judges like Breyer and the 3 New York City women (diversity anyone?) should never get past a GOP congress.
“Stare decisis” should be thrown out for rulings which clearly have no constitutional basis.

If the people want to change the Constitution, it can be done through the state legislatures, not by the decision of one misguided or malevolent person.
