Jim Thompson has approved these messages:

"There is no room in this country for hyphenated Americanism... a hyphenated American is not an American at all. This is just as true of the man who puts "native" before the hyphen as of the man who puts German or Irish or English or French before the hyphen.

Americanism is a matter of the spirit and of the soul. Our allegiance must be purely to the United States. We must unsparingly condemn any man who holds any other allegiance. But if he is heartily and singly loyal to this Republic, then no matter where he was born, he is just as good an American as any one else.

The one absolutely certain way of bringing this nation to ruin, of preventing all possibility of its continuing to be a nation at all, would be to permit it to become a tangle of squabbling nationalities, an intricate knot of German-Americans, Irish-Americans, English-Americans, French-Americans, Scandinavian-Americans or Italian-Americans, each preserving its separate nationality, each at heart feeling more sympathy with Europeans of that nationality, than with the other citizens of the American Republic.

The men who do not become Americans and nothing else are hyphenated Americans; and there ought to be no room for them in this country.

The man who calls himself an American citizen and who yet shows by his actions that he is primarily the citizen of a foreign land, plays a thoroughly mischievous part in the life of our body politic. He has no place here; and the sooner he returns to the land to which he feels his real heart-allegiance, the better it will be for every good American. There is no such thing as a hyphenated American who is a good American.

The only man who is a good American is the man who is an American and nothing else. For an American citizen to vote as a German-American, an Irish-American, or an English-American, is to be a traitor to American institutions; and those hyphenated Americans who terrorize American politicians by threats of the foreign vote are engaged in treason to the American Republic"

"Nobody is giving up around here. Yesterday, for a while anyway, I felt like hell.

Now, all I want to do is give them all hell. This is our country, and it is unique among nations because we define our rights by reference to objective and eternal values, not by majority rule or by the tyranny of elitists. We will not be cowed by false guilt or the false promises of those who would make of us serfs in the service of their phony compassion.

There is no security in servitude; those who claim the right to provide it can as easily withdraw the same, and, as history proves, they will do so at their pleasure. We did not storm the beaches at Normandy, nor climb Mount Suribachi for this. It's gut check time for patriots. Our fathers and grandfathers knew many things we seem to have forgotten. I, myself have not. Nor have most of you reading these words.

Do not fear what we must do or where we must go to retrieve our Liberty, for that is our birthright. We, the People, control our destiny and only allow others to do so out of fear or ignorance. Our lives belongs to us and the good is to live them to their fullest."

“A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government. A democracy will continue to exist up until the voters discover that they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse due to loose fiscal policy, which is always followed by a dictatorship.”

~~Alexander Fraser Tyler, "The Decline and Fall of the Athenian Republic"

"For the Statist, liberty is not a blessing but the enemy. It is not possible to achieve utopia if individuals are free to go their own way. The individual must be dehumanized and his nature delegitimized. Through persuasion, deception, and coercion, the individual must be subordinated to the state. He must abandon his own ambitions for the ambitions of the state. He must become reliant on and fearful of the state. His first duty must be to the state - not family, community and faith, all of which have the potential of threatening the state. Once dispirited, the individual can be molded by the state."

~~Mark Levin, from Liberty and Tyranny

"The two enemies of the people are criminals and government, so let us tie the second down with the chains of the Constitution so the second will not become the legalized version of the first."

~~Thomas Jefferson

The trouble with our liberal friends is not that they are ignorant, but that they know so much that isn’t so.

~~Ronald Reagan

“Most people can’t think, most of the remainder won’t think, the small fraction who do think mostly can’t do it very well. The extremely tiny fraction who think regularly, accurately, creatively, and without self-delusion- in the long run, these are the only people who count.”

~~Robert Heinlein

"I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them."

~~Thomas Jefferson

“The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.”
~~ Thomas Jefferson

"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear. The traitor is the plague".”

~~Marcus Tullius Cicero

"The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren't enough criminals, one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws"

~~Ayn Rand

"The smallest minority on earth is the individual. Those who deny individual rights cannot claim to be defenders of minorities"

~~Ayn Rand

"There is but one means available to improve the material conditions of mankind: to accelerate the growth of capital accumulated as against the growth in population. The greater the amount of capital invested per head of the worker, the more and better goods can be produced and consumed. This is what capitalism, the much abused profit system, has brought about and brings about daily anew. Yet, most present-day governments and political parties are eager to destroy this system"

~~Ludwig von Mises

"Tomorrow is the most important thing in life. It comes into us at midnight very clean. It’s perfect when it arrives and it puts itself in our hands. It hopes we’ve learned something from yesterday"

~~John Wayne

"Here is why Hitler and now Obama are considered intelligent in a nefarious way: their recognition of what motivates man and woman to embrace evil and forsake the noble, how to consolidate power, and how to use that power to suppress the opposition.

What comes through loud and clear in Nazi Germany is that once a nation sheds the ethics and morality of the Christian religion and ultimately God the forces of degeneration, despair, and tyranny step in to fill the vacuum.

Remember nature abhors and cannot abide a vacuum"
