What the heck is ‘soccer’ and why does the US care???
Just another reason not to watch.
Why couldn’t Marc Rich be arrested in Switzerland?
Why don’t they try on the IOC?
Probably good.

Needless to say, this is quite a big story in Europe, and the comments I’m seeing (and hearing from my students) are quite positive in regard to the DOJ’s action against FIFA.
Soccer fans here have long complained that FIFA is a hopelessly corrupt organization, and the fans are generally quite happy to see someone going after them for it. And like student said, “I’m glad the US did it, because here in Europe, the legal authorities are too scared to do it.”
For someone that ‘doesn’t care’, you clearly care enough to post.
We get it. You are one of the many Americans who dosent like ‘soccer’. Just as some of us equally hate baseball and ‘football’. Except we stay out of those sports threads.
Its a sport (THE global sport) increasing in US popularity.
Which I am sure cheers you up no end, lol.
It is a game where the clock NEVER stops and almost all games are completed in less than 2 hours. MLB, NFL, games can go for 3+ hours with long stretches of nothing happening. Don’t look now but viewership of the English Premier League in the U.S. is experiencing explosive growth. The lousiest teams get booted out of the top leagues for poor performance. It is on Saturday mornings. Never played a second of soccer.
Clinton Foundation ties to FIFA.
I understand the FBI has moved in into the offices in Miami of FIFA.
“I understand the FBI has moved in into the offices in Miami of FIFA.”<—— Whoops, I mean CONCACAF, the regional affiliate in essence, the Confederation of North, Central, Caribbean Federations.
Actually, mine was a joke post. I played soccer in high school, enjoyed it, and have become a fan in my Old Age, cheering on Man U whenever possible.
Its ok, I didn’t take offence, my reply was a joke as well.
I have actually watched the NFL since 1982, also CFL and Arena. I cant stand baseball, don’t mind basketball, enjoy ice hockey.
Man U?.......scum!
LOL
I am a lifelong and diehard Glasgow Rangers fan.
This makes no sense unless the DOJ has figured out a way to blame soccer corruption on the Republicans.
I actually became a fan of Cricket for a while, but it was utterly beyond my capability to comprehend the rules.
Man U forever!
