Interesting article. Looks like they’re placing the blame on the team rather than the candidate. And it definitely couldn’t be the candidates support of the fast track trade deal.
Naaah. It’s because of the team and how they organize facebook pages.

Only correction I’d make is that he has won SC straw polls, tied in Florida and has raised over 300 Million...Huckabee and Carson are not beating Cruz.

Interesting article.

And it definitely couldnt be the candidates support of the fast track trade deal.
I wrote the article.
"Doctor" Ben Carson won the Straw Poll victory. Ted Cruz and Scott Walker did not.
You're thinking that perhaps the TPP Agreement was the factor in Ted Cruz getting Thrashed.
That's an honest question.
Here's my take.
"Doctor" Ben Carson (to my knowledge) has "zero" position on TPP.
Heck, "Doctor" Ben Carson (as much as I admire him) frankly doesn't have a clue about many, many issues.
You and both know Ben Carson isn't even qualified to read, digest and discuss the intricacies of the TPP.
TPP had "zero" to do with Ben Carson's Straw Poll victory.
You probably already know this, "RKBA Democrat", but (for our political novices in the audience) ...
"Straw Polls" are typically "manufactured events" designed to get Candidate ABC headed-lined on ABC-CBS-CNN-Fox-NPR-AP-UPI-NYT prime-time as the "Candidate ABC WINS-WINS-WINS the XYZ GOP/DNC Straw Poll".
It's old school Chicago-style politics ...
and as Shakespeare opined ... "All is Fair in Love and War".
In this otherwise "morally pristine" environment (/sarcasm-off) ... ALL candidates pull every trick in the book to get Everyone to these straw-poll votes ...
including dog, cats and geckos to vote.
That is where the "organization" comes in.
Just ask Barrack Hussein Obama ... who had the Chicago-machine bus in thousands to the 2008 Iowa Caucuses to defeat Hillary Clinton.
Ergo ... "Doctor" Ben Carson's campaign TEAM did an EXCELLENT job of bussing in every man, woman and child ... and dog and cat ... into Saturday's OK Straw Poll.
That's "why" Ben Carson won ... and rightfully deserved to.
The "executive point" to this article is that all of those decent, educated, wonderful Conservative Patriots ...
supporting Ted Cruz (only by being Keyboard Commandos at Facebook, Twitter, and Free Republic) ...
need to get off their behinds "today" ...
and help build a "Boots-On-The Ground" campaign for Ted Cruz ...
State-by-State ... County-by-County ... Precienct-by-Precienct (sp) ...
TODAY in May of 2015 ...
or else the EXTREMELY well-financed candidates like Jeb Bush and Marco Rubio will politically beat Ted Cruz to a "bloody pulp" in all of the GOP State Presidential Primaries in 2016.
Now, would Gen. George S. Patton Jr. lie to you (wonderful Ted Cruz supporters) ?

Much of what you say is true, but I think you underplay the significance of the TPP treachery in all this. Further polls and contributions data will tell the tale.
I also have a somewhat different explanation for Ben Carson, who does happen to be a Doctor regardless of whether its in quotes or not. He is the one of the few upper tier candidates who does not have a background in politics. The public’s aversion to politics, and more importantly the aversion to those elected to office is showing up in the candidate selections and polls. There is some logic to it. If you take the point of view that people elected to serve in Washington quickly become amoral scuzzballs, then you probably want to elect those who have never been there on the hopes that you might get a few years of decent governance before they go over to the dark side. I don’t agree, but see the logic in it.
I think we’re better off not wasting our time.

And why would Cruz be cowed by that, presuming it happened? All he would have to do is expose such actions to the public and the world at large.
I know and the Justice Dept would be outraged and go bananas...
LAUGHING!... like a Bill Cosby RAPE... well what did he do?... dunno... what happened?.. dunno.. Did he touch you?... dunno.. Where you hurt?... well NO...
If there’s no evidence it didn’t happen..

“I said I sent Cruz money on a regular basis before this vote.”
I sent money as well, and fully planned on working the campaign as it ramped up. And I’m now out.
I find it telling that people who have been on FR for over a decade, or have posted thousands of times are now suddenly “trolls” or drama queens or whatever brcause they point out problems or refuse unquestioning support for popular politicians.
Ted Cruz is definitely a popular politician in these parts. And he definitely gave us a bright red indicator of what he will do should he be elected. So apparently I should ignore my lying eyes because the politician in question is popular and has a really good conservative schtick?
No thanks.

Yes, it will. Although it will be largely irrelevant to me.
I can be far more effective spending my time ironing or planting a garden or mowing my neighbors lawn. Uniparty politics and voting in rigged elections is for the birds.

One more thing: 80% may have been good enough once, but not now. I don’t think an 80 per center can save America, frankly.

Dave, I am not a purist. But I am befuddled that anyone at this point could be so naive as to think that Mao would support ANYTHING that benefits America. *shrug*

Carson has NEVER run for ANY elected office. He's a lousy debater, a gaffe maker, has NO knowledge of anything political, diplomatic, nor governmental, and has absolutely NO connection with people he'd need to help him IF, GOD forefend, he ever actually did get elected president...which will NEVER happen.
Nobody has any idea what might be in his "closet" and blacks will NEVER vote for him!
Nobody knows just who is backing him, nor who pushed him into this pathetic, egotistical run.
For the vast majority of his life he was a staunch DEM voter.
He's Obama without the political machine.....inept, untried, clueless, inexperienced, unschooled in the ways of politics, unconnected, and someone/s puppet.
To: alstewartfan
I'm nobody's drooling sycophant, either; however, nobody running is perfect and many posts to this thread, by people throwing a tizzy over something they don't know all of the facts on, is just plain old silly.
The vast majority of those announced and not yet announced GOPers are totally useless AND if one of them is the nominee, won't be able to turn out the vote, no matter WHO the Dem candidate is.

<Lots of luck with THAT attitude! LOL

Absolutists, particularly militant absolutists, are always disappointed 100% of the time. I have been laughing so hard today and now into the night because of the utter despair of former Cruz or bust absolutists.
I knew something would come along to disappoint the absolutists, I just didn't think it would be this soon. It's still May. But that gives you time to adopt and discard any number of candidates that does not meet with your smug approval.
Your favored candidate exists only on paper and is a fantasy in your mind. All will disappoint. No one is going to agree with you 100% of the time, which is what you are demanding.
Jesus Christ wouldn't be good enough for you. My suggestion is cut to the chase. Declare yourself unhappy and just state you will not vote or perhaps write in yourself if you feel particularly robust on election day. It will save you so much angst and disappointment.
