Trump Again Suggests Execution for Snowden [July 2013]

Donald Trump broached the idea of execution for National Security Agency leaker Edward Snowden for the second time in a week Monday.

"I think Snowden is a terrible threat, I think he's a terrible traitor, and you know what we used to do in the good old days when we were a strong country? You know what we used to do to traitors, right?" Trump said on the "Fox & Friends" program.

"Well, you killed them, Donald," host Eric Bolling replied.

Trump appears highly distressed with the whole affair. Snowden is in a Moscow airport, and the U.S. government wants him back to face espionage charges.

"This guy is really doing damage to this country, and he's also making us looks like dopes," Trump said. "We can't allow this guy to go out there and give out all our secrets and also embarrass us at every level. We should get him back and get him back now."

Last week on Fox, Trump said, "Spies in the old days used to be executed. ... There is still a thing called execution. ... Unless the retribution is swift and really strong, you're going to have other people coming out with more information than he's done."

So, did Mr. Trump advocate execution for the NSA traitors who are stealing our Liberties, and flipping off Federal courts?

I agree that it was a good thing when we executed traitors. I just think that if e were to actually execute some the list is so long it would take a while to get to Snowden.

I don’t have a problem with Trump. I hope he runs.

I used to have respect for Trump, especially on economic issues. Then he came out against Geller during the draw-Mohamed crisis. That was a deal-breaker for me.

Snowden is viewed by the intelligence community as an unstable person with sexual habits that he was afraid of being exposed.

I don’t think I’d trust the INTELLIGENCE community on anything they say about Snowden. I’m sure they’ll tell you he eats puppy dogs, too.

You mean the same intelligence community that has no trouble violating & trampling our Liberties without a by-your-leave?

...with sexual habits that he was afraid of being exposed.

What, you mean he's hetero and likes women? The Gaystapo that has infested our institutions can't have THAT!

I personally did not agree with Trump on the Mohammed Cartoon thing but I can see where someone might think it was juvenile. It does not automatically mean Trump is soft on Islam. He has been preaching taking it to the Saudis for years. If Trump announces for President he will be questioned ad nauseum about all this stuff and we can all decide what we think.

I’m more concerned that my so called conservative prince Ted Cruz is voting for the Iran nuclear bill and the trade bill. Two really bad ideas.

No, but I imagine Snowden resents that he cannot anonymously visit porn websites featuring young boys.

Maybe they will be more tolerant in his adopted country where he now resides.

Here’s a newsflash. As an everyday citizen, the intelligence community does not give two hoots about your personal activities or personal data. You would have to flag several programs before they would give you Any level of scrutinty.

We owe Snowdon a debt of gratitude, not a rope.

Very TRUE.

That is NOT TRUE. I'll say NO MORE than that even though I can PROVE your statement UNTRUE.

LOL! His girlfriend doesn't look like "a young boy". :)

Sounds like an anonymous smear from the Liberty thieves.

Here's a newsflash. The Founding Fathers would have strung up anyone trying to peddle that sort of Despotic Statist twaddle to their faces.

I haven't seen that reported. What is your source?

Perhaps we should be careful.

The both of us might end up on a "list", and under surveillance.

For "our own good", and "the good of the country", of course...

His activities with the fairer sex must be just a cover. LOL! :)

Sex marathons with women, BTW...

Apparently, he likes to REALLY act the part when he's trying to fool those spooks at the NSA...

He's right about Snowden -- he didn't flee to Russia for just no reason.

Regardless of that, Freakshow Bullhorn with a Bad Rug ping:

There are a lot of people who have committed treason by their betrayal of the trust given to them by the voters.

Snowdon had courage to call some of them out.

Snowdon is a traitor and has committed treason. If caught he should be executed no matter what his reasons for blabbing were!!

We disagree. This was a man who looked at who to bring this info to... and discovered that the rot in our country goes to the core. There was no one to use as a whistleblow. No one to protect and make sure this information got out. Reasons matter IMHO.
