DENVER - Colorado's legal battles between religious freedom and gay rights continue to play out in the not-so-sweet arena of bakery cake requests.
Last week, the Colorado Civil Rights Division ruled that Denver's Azucar Bakery did not discriminate against William Jack, a Christian from Castle Rock, by refusing to make two cakes with anti-gay messages and imagery that he requested last year.

LOL And I’ve done my part occasionally to keep that tradition alive and vibrant.
Judging them to be anti-gay means deliberately leaving out Christianity's beliefs that these verses warn people not to go astray, and therefore is helping them.
That is the actual Biblical interpretation of the meaning and purpose of these Bible verses - not hate, but love.
Therefore, the Colorado Civil Rights Division ruled that the Bible must be interpreted in a way that denies the teachings Christians take from it. In effect, the Colorado Civil Rights Division ruled that THEY are the only legal interpreters of the Bible - and in this case, they tore out parts of the Bible that they deemed to be "hate." In doing so, they DIRECTLY rejected 2,000 years of Christian teachings and beliefs on the meaning and purpose of these Bible verses.
Just imagine if the Colorado Civil Rights Division dared to rule on the meaning of the Koran.
Just imagine.
Christians need to be EXTREMELY clear about what exactly is being done here. Spread the word:
Or ?
Put a non discrimitory sign out front stating.
We welcome all our costumers to enjoy their stay at our establishment.
To our gay costumers and in the spirit of fairness, and non - discrimination we will have catering services that meet their needs.
This is a special service just for our gay costumers.
ALL proceeds and monies collected from our catering services to our dear gay costumers will be donated to the following conservative causes: to the Family Research Council, to Focus on the Family, to antiabortion and antj-gay foundations, to the Ted Cruz 2016 presidential campaign.
We give a very special thanks to our gay costumers for helping to fund our conservative causes with the proceeds from catering to them.
With love and care to our gay costumers.
Thank you.
I did not realize that Sodomy was a religon.
“I did not realize that Sodomy was a religon.”
Sodomy, hope and changey etc, they’re all religion to the leftards..
This wont overturn locals laws that say you must sell wedding cakes to same sex couples if you sell them to opposite sex couples.
Exactly right. There seems to be some confusion on this point.

Lol :)
So you can refuse customers or not?
I certainly wish people would stop perpetuating the corruption of the word ‘gay’.
If they want a ‘nice’ name, call them same-sex couple or homosexual (which is what they are), but not gay.
You can refuse customers only if doing so does not violate state and local public accommodations laws and anti-discrimination laws. The left has greatly increased the number of such laws, and uses them to target members of disfavored groups, particularly Christians. It would go a long way toward solving the problem if all states would repeal their public accommodations laws relating to sexual orientation and gender identity. Wikipedia used to have a page showing which states had which public accommodations laws, but I can't find it now.
Officially, Christians are now second class citizens.
I’m glad this guy did this and forced the hypocrites o the court system. Now a precedent has been set, and even if a Christian were to lose on the district court level, because of the precedence they would most likely win on appeal, and it might then go to the Supreme Court. Even the SCOTUS would have to rule in favor of Christians on this, or appear as the greatest hypocrites that ever lived to be on the Supreme Court of the land, and would go down in history as such. So, I’m glad this has happened.
“hypocrites to” above. The “t” disappeared down a rabbit hole.
The double standard is obvious. These laws were not made to protect Christians but to limit the rights of Christians.
I think that hits to why this is such a rout on our side. I think some of it is orchestrated on purpose.
From link “A bakery in Georgia was legally compelled to bake a cake for a KKK birthday party, which had refused to do so because it violated the owners religious beliefs.*
This morning I was listening to our local conservative WCBM radio talk show hosts this morning trying to equate : 1) a baker refusing to put anti-gay messages on one of their cakes (which the court said was OK) to: 2) other bakeries refusing to sell wedding cakes to same sex couples (which the court fines them for) like that one in Washington state , claiming double standard, unequal protection.
I have come to the conclusion that these two different cases are being equated on our side because #1 is easier to argue against than #2 is, no one gets on TV arguing for #2.
One of the hosts said that he could understand why in #1 it was OK to refuse but not in #2, and the other host quickly ‘corrected him’ and said that two cases were the same.
I love it!
Turn the tide and tables against them. What ever services or money that is made by selling a product to gays goes to fund conservative causes, that way they can’t sue you or say it’s discrimination.
Use the money by selling a product to gays to fund conservative causes..... They can’t sue you, and can’t say you discriminated against them.
What needs to happen is that someone of a government-favored group, say a black man, needs to go to a catering company run by activist members of the homosexual cult, ask them to cater a pro-traditional marriage rally or meeting, and be turned down.
The government -- let alone the homosexual bullies -- will twist themselves into a knot trying to show a distinction.
We need to turn the tables on the bullies who will screech and scream and cower.
