America and the West are subjected nonstop to a barrage of hate speech from the intelligentsia. Hate speech leads to hate crimes, here as everywhere. Few people have faced up to the extent of the hate crimes and hate speech against the West. The murder of the two New York City policemen Saturday is only the tip of the iceberg.
Literally thousands of inciters have propagated a dishonest storyline of widespread police violence against blacks. And what we’ve seen in recent months is only the current instance in a long history of incitement against the West. A view of the West as enemy is cultivated in universities across the country as the cutting edge of moral thinking, with full rein given to a very un-academic manner of speech, replete with the colorful language of vilification. From these heights, the same attitudes inevitably seep into other venues, including textbooks for much younger students. The bulk of journalists and teachers do not believe in the full range of anti-Western ideology, but they accept it as an orienting guide. It is the only moral doctrine that they have heard with any frequency since they made it into the world of the talking classes. It is the only normative system they hear that makes demands on them with any vigor. They have nearly forgotten the quaint notions they were brought up on as children, such as conscience before society, or guilt for having failed society; they have settled into a subculture where “conscience” is reduced to conscience against society and aggressive accusations about society’s guilt. And so, on issue after issue, year after year, the media speak in a language of blaming the West and identifying with anger against the West.

Direct result of hate crime laws which were designed to criminalize anything a White says or does, or doesn’t say or doesn’t do, and to set free non-Whites who physically attack Whites.

There is no such bloody thing as “hate speech”.
That’s a code for limiting free speech.
Unfortunately, we don’t live in a civil society anymore. Perhaps we never did. People are going to say stupid things. People are going to incite bad behavior in the less stable members of society.
There’s nothing we can or should do about that, except incarcerate or execute the criminals when they do these things.
The problem isn’t with speech.
The problem is with adulation of thugs and criminals, and allowing them to roam around free. They should be incarcerated or exterminated. The more often that happens, the less often these kinds of crimes will happen.
When Gabby Giffords was shot and many killed, the liberals claimed that Republicans and conservatives such as Sarah Palin created a climate which led to that shooting.
If liberals are to be intellectually honest, then they should say that liberals and radicals created this climate in which police are getting shot.
And the shooter in this case posted on social media he wanted to get even for shootings of blacks by police.

If we are to believe the left’s assertion, which is the headline, then this is exactly what happened.

It’s been a while (maybe a year) since I read him, is there something I should know? I mainly found his site a good source for statistical information.
Not liberal hate speech, apparently.
I call it inciting violence. It clearly is a threat to police officers. The mayor should be in jail charged with murder.
It is hate speech, but is already covered by much previous law.
The 1st amendment simply means there can be no prior restraint on speech. It doesn’t mean you aren’t liable if your speech leads to something actionable.
The problem for any attorney would be connecting the dots.
Can a Sharpton or Jackson be held liable for inciting someone they did not know to commit an actionable offense?
Be a stretch. But worth trying.
Abbie Hoffman, Jerry Rubin and the Manson Gang all screamed “Off the Pigs!” in the 60’s. But they weren’t put on trial for that, since you couldn’t pin an individual cops name to that noise. Instead they were tried for crossing state lines to incite a riot...similar, not the same thing.
But we know how that turned out.
The court of public opinion is where this will be tried, but it certainly would be gratifying to see them at least charged. But hard to make it stick.
I think the public already convicted them though. This is the end game for their despicable comedy show. They will now always be linked to Ramos and Liu.
I miss John Derbyshire. He was the only reason I would check out “The Corner”.
And it won't be the "privileged" doing all of the bleeding.
That would be the political, academic and media left’s nonstop provocations against the west...
