Motley Fool ^ | August 31, 2014 | Rich Smith

I don’t want to give them my email address. Could you summarize what the solution is? Thanks!

It was a long read to finally get to this, "People walk into the store, they don't see as much as they want so they take everything they can get. The next guy who comes in can't get anything, so he panics."

Still waiting for his explaination why the first guy didn't see as much as he wanted.

7 cents a round doesn’t sound like any shortage

I read the whole article; didn’t need to provide an e-mail address.

Summary?

No solution whatsoever.

Gun owners tend to over react to political events, including yours truly. I’m still using primers I stocked up on when Clinton was elected.

Tell me .50 per round and I will call it a crisis.

A couple of years ago, you could buy a 500 round box of .22LR at Walmart for less than $20.

Demand is dropping.
Folks horded like crazy at extreme prices, now it is tapering off.

Last gun show prices were .14/16 cents each - brick went for $45 and another for $60 or so.

I told the wife just yesteday that I had enough to last for years and would not buy more until the price comes down to a reasonable amount. About 3 cents per round.

It appears reading the comments we all agree this article doesn’t hit the bullseye much less the target overall. Back to the range with this author IF he’s ever been.

I buy all my .22 ammo online in the middle of the nite from whoever lists it. If you do this during the day, they’re generally out by the time you process the order.
