One of the major factors contributing to the stressful environment for young black males (and other minority youth) continues to be the persistent pattern of police harassment, misconduct and brutality toward these youth. As Michelle Alexander has noted in her recent book, "The New Jim Crow," the United States has one of the highest incarceration rates in the world; this seems to be a deliberate strategy to deal with black males who are frequently viewed as a threat to the social order.

Low IQ does not mean that person has criminal tendencies built in.Lots of decent but not too smart folks out there,it’s the culture that makes or breaks a person.
The first few lines are enough. This is one of the major obstacles that blacks have. They use excuses and more excuses, and; so do many young white males and even some females now. I am seeing more and more white teens having babies out of wedlock and they are mostly going no where too. I am amazed at the total ignorance of so many young folks when asked basic history and current event questions.
Yeah, I refuse to believe that.
If there is anything to that, it may be due to fetal alcohol syndrome, or "crack babies" Since the innercity cult rejects education as "acting white", they may be uneducated, but they're not stupid.
Blacks weren't like this before LBJ and the Soviets destroyed them.
There’s a lot of data collected over many years and it all supports 85 as the median - which is the 50%ile. Who knows what the cause is.

The majority are born to breeders, not parents.
At what age are the standard IQ tests being performed to make this determination? If a kid is exposed to learning as a pleasurable experience by parents and other family members from an early age IQ scores are affected positively.
Let me also mention that 82 is not stupid, and it is barely BIF-borderline intellectual functioning. Average IQ is 85-114, so it is only a couple of points below normal.

As a point of interest-since a number of so-called “crack babies” have come of age-18-it seems that the mother’s drugging did not produce low functioning individuals as predicted. Those kids who were adopted/raised/educated in loving families and sent to decent schools are as normal as your kid or mine...
Stupid liberals will never ever wake up to the reality that it’s their policies that have condemned urban black males to a life of poverty and crime. The police are always a convenient scapegoat but the finger of blame points directly at the Democratic Party!
The great society split the black families and took the fathers out of families, and there is not a father figure in a lot of these families...and gave them food stamps, larger apartments and welfare. Today we see the results and we have still lost the war on poverty, but we have lost 2 generations of children, black and white.. Can it be corrected, or will the government just throw money at it, and the people that need it won’t get it....
Sadly, that is all too true.
