Not missing Sadam but his Hussein butt in Baghdad was far better than the Hussein arse in DC.

Yep. Toppling Saddam was one of the worst foreign policy blunders orchestrated by the United States that I can think of.

This image is quintessentially symbolic for the reasons not to have messed with Saddam. Despite the glaring irony, he was, in his own twisted way remarkable in keeping the peace.
I must say, despite having considered Bush the greatest President ever at the time, his, the Neocons' decision to invade Iraq has to rank as one of history's greatest miscalculations, blunders, a geopolitical loss for the West as devastating, destructive as the fall of the Shah.

don’t miss his kids. every time I see his face I can hear the tree branch mulching machine. Shooting is more humane. Possibly beheading is more humane.

As much as crap has hit the fan I am still a firm believer that we accomplished the mission in spades. We got radical Sunni’s killing radical Shiites and vice versa in droves. It’s exactly what we wanted and it’s exactly what we are going to get for a long time.
