The Amish have the heater problem solved. They use a gasoline heater which they take out of the buggy during the spring cleaning.

I believe the way it works is that the batteries are kept at a warm temperature...in a compartment heated with electrical resistant heat from the batteries.
So, its not that the batteries are cold, as much as its a problem with the batteries draining in an attempt to keep themselves warm.
I tried to do similar research...and got some propaganda from Tesla that their real world driving data (yes driving a Tesla is like accepting cookies in your web browser) showed almost no difference in cold weather conditions. I think this is impossible and a lie...or maybe people in California don’t understand what cold conditions means.

How does AAA figure into the future of EV’s?
It’s not like they can give it a jump start or anything.
All they are gonna be good for is changing tires or towing.

I have a Ford CMax Energi. Cold weather knocks about 5 miles off the range, supposedly due to the climate control. When it is really cold, I use the hybrid setting to run the engine. Once the car is warm, I switch over to PHEV first mode. I get my 5 miles range back. HOWEVER I would not have paid extra for the PHEV Energi if I did not get back the 4000 bucks rebate from the tax payers. Most of my local trips do not use gasoline at all, of course, I am retired.
