Was just watching the show and they played a clip of Rick Perry saying that Texas has lowered fines for first time offense for marijuana use. So far he has not said he would legalize it. So the members went around the table and all but Beckel (recovering addict) said they were for legalizing marijuana. Dana Pirino said Texas might as well legalize it because Texans are coming into Colorado to legally smoke the stuff. She also said that if a republican wants to get a hand in an audience full of hipsters all they have to say is they are for legalizing marijuana. Guess that's the in thing now with some of these RINOs. They can all say they are "libertarian" when it comes to frying your brains on dope. So that's Gillfoyle, Pirino, the midget Gutfeld and Mr. Perfect Bohling, all saying they want to see more dope legalized. I'll post the link as soon as it's out. All four of this fakes call themselves conservatives. Prety bad when lefty Bob Beckel take the conservative position on legalizing dope.
And so has excess alcohol... sigh. We don’t impose quotas yet at liquor emporiums. They won’t sell to a drunk or in most places to someone without an ID card but other than that... pickle your liver all you please.
The sooner we quit demonizing THINGS the sooner we will wake up to responsibility for PEOPLE to use those THINGS in good ways, if at all.
Drugs are bad. The war on some drugs is much worse.

I have known quite a few regular, every day marijuana users.
In 90% of these users it causes their reflexes to slow down like molasses and it causes them to be lazy as hell and want to do nothing but eat while they’re smoking this garbage. The effects for the big time pot heads are almost identical to drinking a 12 pack of beer. We all know what a 12 pack of beer does to our senses, especially when trying to drive a vehicle. The government goes way to easy on drunk drivers. Legalizing dope will cause more deaths on the highway, and is that what we really need? It’s all BS.
Can alcohol be abused like that, yes. But for the most part it can be used in moderation and still enjoyed. With pot it is go all the way to stupidity, laughing and thinking your so cool when really you act like an idiot when stoned on pot.

I do not want to see my nation go to pot . It has messed a lot of things up since first getting popularized as a drug long ago . It definitely causes Lib-progressive mindset , and that will be the death of our homeland eventually .

A number of non-Rx medications can render a person unfit to drive too. Antihistamines chief among them. And of course, Rx medications some of which could hose one’s alertness as bad as, if not worse than, Rx pot.
I’ve often wished that patrol cars could carry reaction-testing machines, because that would take most of the subjectivity out of “too impaired to drive.” And it would help deal with medication-impairment cases.

Most sodomites and dykes are everyday dope smokers. If they could do some kind of survey to show who smokes the most dope it would show the degenerates are the biggest users. They do this to escape reality because they’re ashamed of their filthy lifestyle.
How does that apply ?
Because it permits Congress to override the Tenth Amendment and regulate matters that were originally meant for the states. It is how fedgov controls education, health care, the environment, welfare and intrastate marijuana prohibition. It is the heart of big government.
When you get back from work, I would be interested in hearing how you justify trashing the Tenth Amendment.

In the statement of Mon Mar 22 20:22:17 2004 , you enumerate the principles that are the foundation of Constitutional Conservatism and, of course, for Free Republic. There's no mention of drugs, one way or the other, in the list.
Where do you stand on this often divisive subject? Do you support legalization of drugs in any way?

Who deal with drunk drivers? The feds or the states?
Why can’t the states deal with your worries about drugged drivers and let the feds stick to what they are Constitutionally authorized to do?
